Hello, I saw that there wasn't a thread created for the fall term 2018 in nova. I wanted to know if anybody is already studying for the test, and if so, what book are you using to study?

Hello I will have my interview soon and I just want some advice on it. I know we take the Kaplan test the same day and any materials that I can study for it like the Hesi or Teas. I also was told about an essay that same day too so if I can get a little more information on the people who have already been through that phase. Thank you much congrates!

Hi Adolfo! I had my interview and the test as well. The essay is hand-written and easy. The math is pretty basic, for the writing part which was the hardest for me, you can review the samples from SAT cause I think they are similar, try to practice some readings too. The part I will advice you to focus more is science (Physiology). Study all the the systems, know how blood flows through the heart. Try to watch the videos too using khan academy. I got a great score on science section than other sections because its my strong subject, plus I did a lot of reviews through Khan academy. For the interview, it is laid back and basically scenario questions like what would you do if you see a student cheating; you should be fine. does anyone have any advice IF we don't get accepted? what other schools have traditional BSN track? other than FIU or what happens if nobody accepts you?

Hi Mimiic,

Check Berry university, UM, and keiser. MDC and BC also offer RN to BSN. MDC applications are open... I'm not sure about BC.

Oh okay I did it electronically, do you know how long it takes for them to receive the transcripts?? Or how do we know if they got them? I'm a little nervous because I sent them like a week ago.

Hello! The number they gave me to call is 954-344-3338. You can also go onto the nursing staff page and find Ms. Gardner, I believe my friend said she is her go to for any questions, and she's currently finishing her 5th semester!

They are very harsh on GPA though, so they only allow you in if you're a few hundredths of a point off or so. Good luck to you!
