Nova Southeastern University BSN Entry Level Fall 2016

Published

Hey guys! So I'm starting this new article for the students applying for the Fall term 2016, just wanted to get to know some of you and see how everyone is feeling about the application process. My interview is on Tuesday and I'm pretty nervous, wondering who else has the same date.

Does anybody know if there's a thread for Winter 2017 admissions

Does anyone know if we're supposed to order scrubs/uniform before orientation or will that be done during that day? If we do need to order them on our own before, does anyone know where to order them from?

I'm going to call tomorrow and find out. I'll update you when I find out.

Heys guys I have been MIA for a while since i have been busy working like everyday :( I created the facebook page a while back...please sent to everyone we are still low on numbers and I would ideally like our whole class to be a part since it is the best way to keep in touch and share information, as well as get to know each other.

but i also have a question for you guys!!!

Did you guys apply to other schools?

I applied to NOVA, Barry(since its free lol) and University of Miami

I was obviously accepted to Nova, Barry only accepted me to prenursing and then I jsut found out University of Miami accepted me

I cant find any forums regarding the traditional BSN at Miami tho

I was wondering if any of you guys know about it

apparently they dont accept many transfers but its only 4 semesters and no summers where as nova is i believe 6 semesters including summers.

So any info you got let me know since I have no idea where i should go now!!

:o

For anyone who applied or is applying for the baptist scholarship, do you guys know how you go about setting an appointment with the career counselor? Or do they give you an appointment once you submit the application?

When I submitted my application I got a letter in the mail saying my application was complete and that I will receive a call informing me of an interview date. Congratulations on getting accepted into nova and UM! Go wherever you feel you'll have more opportunities to learn and grow. I only applied to nova but I feel like a longer program for me might be a little better because I'll have more opportunities and time to learn everything I need to know a lot better than a program where I only have 4 semesters to learn everything. It's all about where you'll feel more comfortable and where you feel you'll excel at school.

I don't know but I'm going to reapply. Let's keep in contact.

Hi everyone, I found out about the scrubs. When I called they told me that they fit you for your scrubs and lab coat during the day of orientation. I also asked which are the approved vendors if we decided not to get them at the bookstore or the online website. The lady told me any uniform place that sells scrubs are approved vendors as long as we get the correct color. Also, we can take the uniform that we bought and take them to orientation and they will embroider them there. I asked about the dress code for orientation as well and she said it was casual because it's pretty much just introducing you to the campus. I'm going to call again in a couple of days to make sure this is right because the lady was very helpful and very nice but she wasn't sure about these things and had to go find out. Classes start August 22nd I'm super excited!

Thank you so much! This was so helpful.

Hey guys!

i spoke to Dianna Gardner with admissions for the CON and she gave me some information that is different from some other comments. Now, feel free to follow whichever route you want to take or contact the CON yourself but please let me know if you find anymore different information! :)

Orientation: BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL ATTIRE! (Better over dressed than under dressed) There, you will be given your class schedule and be fitted for your scrubs and white coat (you can order them right then and there)

Scrubs: She highly recommends to go straight through the bookstore for better accuracy and faster processing because they are very strict with uniform. She said if you must go through another vendor, it is the student's responsibility to match the color and embroidery font/style to the exact same as everyone else! (Which is understandable.. just be careful!) She mentioned that if you want a reference visit or contact the bookstore, they would probably be able to give you the color match and embroidery font/style.

Please if you have different information please let me know! It can be frustrating to have different people tell you different things.

Have a great day :)

Hey guys does anyone know where the pin for the background check can be found?

I had to call and ask for mine because I never received mine after I paid the deposit.
