I applied to Nova's Entry Level BSN program today for Fall 2012 semester and thought it may be helpful to start up a forum.

currently applying or plan on applying, a former applicant, a current student, I'd love to hear from you!
Has everyone finished their perquisites? Does anyone else have a not so competitive GPA (like me)? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?
I look forward to speaking with everyone and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!
Idk if its still the same, but I read that before they would select about 150 to interview from the applicants and then select about 120. Again, that's just what I read from the past threads.
Guys we should feel lucky because at least we are receiving mail from NOVA for the interview. my friend applied as the rest of us and she got a letter last week that she is not eligible and that nova would no offer her a place this coming fall 2012... She said that they told her that nursing school has their candidates and is full... for this next fall.... so at least we are ahead of the game than others... i think they are sending letter to those who cannot get in..so she didnt receive the email about the interviews today..
wow your commment back made me feel a little better Leandtrito". I guess well just have to wait til next week for our interview day. I hate seeing the students on my floor at Southmiami hospital doing their clinicals ! I wish i was wearing the aqua scrubs ! i know we will all make it together :)
Hi everyone! I just found this forum!! Im soo happy that I did .. So I also received the e-mail saying that we have an interview and I had no idea we were going to have to do one! So I applied to the Ft Myers Campus! has anyone else applied to Ft Myers?? Im so nervous and excited at the same time! When will we know when our interviews are? Does this mean that we will have to wait longer for them to tell us if we are accepted since they have to interview everyone first??
Hey yanetsi22! I also applied to the ft. Myers campus! They should be e-mailing us times and dates this coming week. Also, I had a pre req that was not done yet (chem) and I received the e-mail today. Wish you all the best of luck :)
I just found this thread! However, I have been lurking on allnurses for a couple of years now, since high school :) I also applied to Nova for fall 2012. I applied for the Kendall campus, since i live in Homestead, FL. Anyone else here applied for Kendall?? I received the email notifying us of the new admission requirement. I'm so nervous now!! I feel like getting an email for an interview or not getting an email is the determining factor for my acceptance...I'm going to be monitoring my inbox all day on Monday and praying that I get an interview date!! - I got my AA degree in nursing at Broward College before I applied to the BSN at Nova. Which means that I had more than what they were asking. I had a 3.91 GPA. The first semester is very hard if you do not buy the books earlier in order to study. For some students, it is hard. But for me, it is easy because I bought the books two months before I started the program and started to study. If you do the same, you will be fine. I am almost done with my first semester and ready for the second one. Thanks to God.
Awesome, Thanks RNtobe1211! I am working on 4 pre reqs right now and one over the summer. They said this was ok as long as they are all finished before the program! However, I think this only works for the Ft. Myers campus.. :/
