I am just writing to vent. I didnt get accepted into any programs this fall. I am a little bummed out because i just want to get the ball rolling. I have a degree in psychology and decided to go back to school for nursing. I applied everywhere and my grades are fine (3.5overall) and I didnt get accepted. Part of me is a little relieved to take this year and just work and pay off previous school loans and such but I'm a little depressed at hearing everyone that is getting started. I have a huge stash of applications for next fall and I am keeping my fingers crossed already.
I suppose it could be worse - at least you know you are in! Congrats :)
If I get in for Fall/07 I will grad 2011. Only BSN is available here. It's such a long haul!
Today I found out that they are changing the entrance to the nursing program at our local college to a competitive system instead of by date of complete application. This is good news as long as I get good grades on my remaining prereqs! So far so good.
I haven't even applied yet and have been told i would most likely wait until 2008 to get accepted. this school even accepts over 200 students a semester. I will apply in may...they only take applications once a year, however i will be done with my pre req's this summer. this is my 4th year of school so it is really frustrating.

It is so bad the wait lists are impossible. At this point i will go anywhere...I have long forgotten about picking a school i prefer. As long as i get then woohoo!!! I'm 24 soon to be 25 and hope to be done by the time im 30 but I no longer want to get my hopes up for that.
i just found out that i definitely didn't get into school for the fall, & i won't be starting until fall 2007. i guess when they say there's a two year waiting list, they're not kidding, huh?
at least it's good to know that i'm not alone. it's just frustrating to have to put my life on hold for this long...
