Hi Rafeef,
I know exactly how you feel. I am sure that the staff is trying to look through an incredible amount of applications. I once was in another MEC program and the first time I had to withdraw from my classes (my mairrage ended abruptly). I came back the next year and mid-semester my father died. I was so stressed that I got sick. I held on as long as I could and missed staying in my program by one final exam. It was a blessing, because I had to rethink everything. I wanted to be an RN 20 years ago but really know how to study well soI gave up. I have spent the past 2 years completely focused on how to study. I completely reinvented myself as a student. My dad's death completely motivated me to study and dedicate as much as I can.
I am nervous as well; but don't stress too much and use time while you wait. I got my A.S in general studies. I did a workforce program and got my CCMA licence. This is a great way to work in the field and learn a ton of clinical skills! I am finishing the last of my classes this semester so that I can get a BSN. I can't move, because I have shared custody of my junior high age daughters. My choices are NVCC or Mason. I am not getting younger LOL, so private schools are not anything I can afford at all.
Take a deep breath. If you have your Pearson A & P, keep studying it, so if you have to retake it you are ready. If you do get in, all of that knowledge will be fresh. Read pathology books on the side. Watch you tube videos about safe patient transfers and intro nursing skills. Getting accepted is only the begining. Use this time to learn how to manage stress, learn adaptiblity and patience. I had some bad grades when I was younger and despite retaking classes, they are part of my permanent record and I worry to that looks bad to a lot of colleges, however there is nothing I can do but pray, work hard and have hope!
If it does not happen, try again. Hang in there, I know the wait is long, but the reward will be great.
I wish you and everyone good luck. Just breathe. Exercise, eat healthy, and get good rest. Be kind to yourself and don't stress out!
Think about it this way, if it takes longer to process applications, then they are processing with due diligence. That's a good thing.
Wishing the very best!

Thank you very much. I really appreciate your support. You help me to change my plan if I not accepted. I just decide to gave up and work any job, but after I read your sentences, I like to retake courses and move forward in Nursing field.
Take care and Good luck
Rafeef,
If this is your dream, go for it! Sometimes it does not work the first time. Also, try consider looking at the workforce program if you don't get in, They offer classes every quarter. I learned so much and it's very hands on. The link is on NVCCs web page ( under workforce) There are grants for many of these programs. Starting CCMAs in Fairfax, make around 15 to 18/hr. With experience you can get a bit more money. Also, becoming a CNA is a good option. (I am not sure where If you are going to work, it's a great way to build confidence, learn and get paid at the same time! Hang in there! Follow your dream... every one's path is different! ( You also don't know yet..but look towards the positive) ?

That would not impact the admissions decision. If it happens after Nov. 2nd it will have been for unrelated reasons. Most services including the processing of applications are 100% remote as of March 18 and are not impacted by campus closures.
