Northern Virginia Community College anyone?

I love this web site! I have been reading it for a while. However, this is my first post. I am just wondering if there is anyone waiting for acceptance letter from NVCC. It took me two years to finish my prerequisites. Now, I am just waiting. By the way, BIG thank you to those students 30 and over for good example. I am 34 1/2 with three kids. I couldn't have done it without knowing that I am not alone. Thanks guys!

Yes they sent out the letters on Friday so we will get them sometime next week. Hopefully!

Also, I am not 30+, but just wanted to let you know that I do have respect for the 30+ students and you don't need to feel left out if we're around.

I hope you got in. I am surprised there is another math test during orientation!

Thanks for posting you are giving me hope too!!!! I will start my pre reqs in nova next month and I will go I guess part time only two classes at the time!!!!And I have 2 small kids so I think it will take me at leat 2 years!!!!!

I'm starting my prerequisites in the fall, and I have 2 small children as well! Thankfully I had some classes transfer so I only need to take the NAS 161 & 162 courses.

Yes I got in...The math test is very similar to the math on the HESI but Im going to do the little packet just to make sure. Ill see you at orientation.

I would love to but with one 18 months and a 3.5 years old and my hubby working crazy hours it won't be possible. I do not have family close by and can't afford day care...

I think taking two classes at a time is a good idea. We have no family here to help out too. I waited for our youngest one to go to first grade so I could start my school. Now, I wish I started earlier. I should have taken one class at the time when my kids were in diapers. Good luck, jess0327, you can do it!

Thank you so much!!!!I was devastated when I learnt that my 1st daughter past the cut off date for kindergarden!!!!But if other did it we will make it!!!!!
