Northern Calif Roll Call

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello - I'm in the true northern part of California, 70 or so miles northeast of Redding California in the mountains. I can see Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta. I practice rural nursing and we RN's do a little bit of everything up here.

Perhaps I am highest up the map in Cali, in Eureka (about two hours from Oregon). It seems so funny to me to hear people say that Sac is "Northern Cali." I was originally from Rancho Cordova, and Sac is so nothing like Humboldt County! I've been here for a little over 15 years. Small town, 30-40k people. I'll be attending College of the Redwoods in the fall. We have a University here, but that's not for me.

I hope to meet someone from around here on this forum!! :)

Hi!! Gracie from the Bay Area. New LVN graduate. Just landed a job at a SNF, looking to pursue RN soon :roll

I also am a Northern California Nurse. I work for Sutter in Santa Rosa on their cardiac telemetry floor. I have worked for Mercy in Bakersfield and Sutter hospita. Mercy was good. Sutter is better. ;)

Hi there,

I'm a pre-pre-nursing student, planning to enroll in CSUEastBay fall of 2007 when my youngest is in second grade...

I live close by and really hope to be accepted in that program.

If anyone has had experience with this school, good or bad, please share with me.

Thanks so much.

Lily
