It's a little early but I just wanted to start this to see if anybody has heard from Northeastern University regarding an interview or decision. All posts about the school/application and acceptance process welcomed!! Looking forward to hearing from some people!
yikes that's not good! that would definitely make me uncomfortable. I also applied to MGH and Boston College for AGPC. Have you heard anything from other schools? I've heard that the application is ready to be reviewed from MGH and I same for BC so just have to wait another few weeks to hear!
Hi Everyone!
I'm happy to see posts going up about fall 2016 direct entry MSN programs. I've used the allnurses site to gain a lot of info about schools prior to applying.
I'm solely interested in Boston schools and applied to BC, MGH, Simmons, and NEU. I am applying to the direct entry FNP track. Northeastern contacted me today for an interview. The admissions lady told me that there are only 24 spots. I don't know if that's in total or just for the FNP track. I also don't know if it matters, but my last name is near the end of the alphabet. Maybe they go alphabetically?
I have completed all prereqs except Nutrition and received all A's. I currently work as a CNA. I have reservations about NEU because of the time commitment. I know that I want to be a FNP and want to get out into the field as soon as possible, so I'm not thrilled about a 4-year minimum commitment to achieve my MSN, but I'm keeping an open mind.
I'll post more info after the interview if I learn any new information. Best of luck to everyone!
Hi guys! I had my interview on Jan 25 and it lasted over an hour! I think it went really well. It felt more like a conversation rather than an interview, we spoke about our views and understanding about the roles as a Nurse Leader (I applied for administration). Also, in regards to having to re-apply for the graduate portion...you DO NOT have to re-apply if you applied for the administrative depart. The lady assured me that I am guarantee a spot in the graduate program once I am admitted into the Direct-Entry Program.
I'm really excited about this program because I'm from California.

i think interviews are rolling!
honestly i am not a fan of the program as much as I am of others.
The interview was not the best --- it only lasted about 10 minutes for me; mostly my fault because i felt so rushed and talked incredibly quickly. The interviewer asked me a question while i was taking off my coat so it was a little bit of a rough start. It was just a question about my work experience, and then the other 3 questions were about why NP as opposed to other clinical professions
which other programs did you apply to? I am aiming for MGH
