Northeastern University Direct Entry September 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

It's a little early but I just wanted to start this to see if anybody has heard from Northeastern University regarding an interview or decision. All posts about the school/application and acceptance process welcomed!! Looking forward to hearing from some people!

Hey guys! I haven't heard back about an interview. Should I be worried? Is anyone else still waiting to hear back?

which specialty did you apply for? I think they do them in waves by specialty

(not sure tho)

Hi NanceN! I'm interviewing tomorrow, and currently residing in Boston. It's REALLY COLD right now. I suggest packing a heavy jacket. There is a blizzard this saturday but the 25th should be a little warmer than it is this week (probably 30's or 40's)

Can I wear a down jacket to an interview? lol I live in the Bay Area and it NEVER snows here, I don't know if professional attire standards are different in East Coast. Our version of storm is just heavy rain and wind but that happens once in a blue moon.

P.S. I'm interviewing for the Administrative/Leadership dept.

I applied for neonata! You?

lol i would still wear professional attire under my jacket, just take off the jacket inside?

so I got a call today from the psych director regarding my prerequisites and when I will be finished with them. He also asked me if I would be interested in being considered for the accelerated BSN hybrid program as well. Does anyone have any info on this or know if I will still be eligible to continue into the psych masters portion? I was so nervous that I forgot to ask any questions!!!

I got the same call! I was a little hesitant because the ABSN program is hybrid and all the lectures are online. Not sure I want to spend all that money for online lectures...

So true!! Do you know if we are still eligible for the masters portion or if we would have to reapply once we have our license and have worked for a while?

If we only get accepted into the ABSN then yes we would have to reapply for the masters once we have worked for a while. If we get into direct entry then we have been accepted to both!

hi everyone,

i looked at the previous year forums and people seemed to hear back of acceptances very soon (within a week) of their interview - does anyone know if they changed it this year? when i interviewed the interviewer told me i would hear back within a month but i was really hoping for news soon haha too anxious

I still haven't even heard about an interview so that is a bit discouraging! I have a lot of work experience but not a lot of clinical experience so that might be why. I did apply to two other programs in the Boston area though. @WhaleThen, how was your interview and what did you think of the program? I also applied for adult gero
