Northeastern Traditional Direct Entry

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Published

Good Afternoon,

I wanted to see if others have heard anything from Northeastern University (MA) regarding traditional direct entry program that starts September 2014. Has anyone heard about an interview? Just wanted to get a conversation going!

Look forward to hearing from others!

Based on last year's forum, I noticed that the candidates that applied to the pediatric track were called a little later. Perhaps they go by specialty track.

No I haven't :( I applied for family

Clairelc, I don't think they would really hold your last 2 prereqs against you unless you had a history of failing/re-taking classes which might suggest there's a chance you won't pass those last two. But that's just my opinion.

Bostonhopefulnurse: Thank you for your reply. I had to retake A&P 1 & 2 and Microbiology, but not because of my grade - I got A's the first time - but because it has been more than 5 years and some schools have a five year time limit. My Bachelor's and pre-reqs' GPA are pretty high, so I don't know why they wouldn't call me. I have a feeling they start calling by specialty track. A applied to Pediatric and maybe they are not quite there yet. I don't know...

bostondrc, skigirl470, let's wait...It's not over yet. Did you submit a strong application?

Anyone that applied to the psych track get a call for an interview? Super excited for those who got the calls and crossing fingers for the rest of us

It's today! I'm super nervous! NEU is my first choice so the pressure is on...

Britt8486, that is so exciting! What time? Keep calm and you will do fine. I will be sending good thoughts to you. Good luck and please come back here to tell us about it!!

Thanks @Clairelc! I think it went well! I met with the coordinator of the neonatal speciality, as well as the director of the direct entry program. Both were very nice and answered all of my questions. They asked very straightforward questions and just seemed to want to get to know me, rather than drill me on my background, etc.

I'm glad it went well for you, britt8486! That's awesome that they just want to get to know us. What kind of questions did they ask?

Congrats Britt8486!
