Hi guys, anyone else on here applying to northeastern?? Let's keep each other updated if we find out any new info! ?

hi all! i just got offered a phone interview for PMHNP. for people who have interviewed - can you share about your experience? any tips? would love your perspective on what was helpful to think about and prepare for before your interview! thanks!!!

Congratulations! I had my phone interview for the FNP so it may be a little different, but my interview was based almost entirely off of questions that I had come with (as opposed to them asking me questions). I asked a lot about assistance with finding clinical placements, preceptor-ships, faculty to student ratio, and how the online classes are set up. ?

Congrats on the interview! I had a phone interview for PMHNP this past Friday, and then got my acceptance email yesterday! I wasn't expecting such a fast turn around so it was a great surprise.

But yeah, like others are saying, the interview is set up so you can ask any questions you have, and learn more about the program. I felt very comfortable during mine and actually ended up feeling like I over-prepared lol.

I'd love to hear from any other people (PMHNP or otherwise) who get accepted, as I'm from Texas and totally clueless about Boston lol. Best of luck everyone!

Hi y'all! I've been MIA (abroad during January), but I have updates!

So originally I had submitted my app for NNP, and I heard back that they didn't think it was specific enough toward neonatal, but they gave me the opportunity to change my specialty. Switched to pediatric, and I heard back like 3 days later that I had a phone interview! Just finished the interview with Marketa (lovely lady!), and I think it went really well. Some basic questions like why advanced practice, tell me about yourself, and then it was really open to questions that I had which directed the conversation from thereon. Said I would hear back soon!

anyone know what the process is for financial aid and if they award any grant/scholarships?

I was accepted to the program, accepted my seat and then havent heard anything since.

I'm not sure about the financial aid process. I was under the impression that scholarships would be awarded at time of acceptance, but I could be wrong. I received a scholarship from Simmons in my acceptance letter so I think I'm going to go there over Northeastern.

I haven't heard anything about financial aid from Northeastern, so I'm waiting to submit my deposit. I sent and email asking about their scholarship/financial aid process the beginning of this moths but I never received a response.

It was in the email, on the second page of the PDF he attached. I haven't received anything via mail yet

hi guys! thanks so much for the helpful tips and info. had my phone interview yesterday and it was a very positive experience. as others have said, very friendly in nature and open-ended - a couple questions about why I want to be a psych NP, then an overview of the program in general, and some conversation/questions flowed naturally from there. was helpful to prepare for the usual questions (why nursing/NP, why NEU, "tell me about yourself", strengths/weaknesses, etc) just to feel confident and ready, but it wasn't that intense.

now I'm just waiting to hear back!

I was placed on the waitlist for PMHNP so I am hoping to make it off eventually *crossing my fingers*
