Hi everyone,
I just wanted to get a thread started for Northeastern's Direct Entry On-Campus Program for Fall 2015. Feel free to post anything about the program here! Thanks!
No problem. I was accepted at UMass Med and MGH. Still waiting to hear from Vermont and Simmons. I honestly don't know if they call with no's because it seemed like a strange call. My undergrad GPA was weak due to just never bothering to try and getting by using my intelligence. Apart from that I was told by UMass and MGH that the rest of my application was stellar which is why they overlooked the GPA. I got the feeling this Dean wanted me in the program but was vetoed by the rest of the admissions committee.
In addition to all that I had a Dean at Simmons reach out a month ago asking for an explanation of my undergrad GPA since she wanted to vouch for my candidacy to the program.
I got a personal call yesterday too with a "no" but with an offer for a different program, but since I was
accepted elsewhere I told them no thank you! The lady on the phone said it was extremely tough this round as they only took about 24 seats so congrats if you are accepted! I'm off to MGH í ½í¸Š
Congrats to all that have been accepted! I was wondering if you got an email when your decision was ready? I just received an email that said "Thank you for applying to the Bouvé Graduate School at Northeastern University. A decision regarding your application has been reached. Please login in to your application to view this decision. An official letter will be mailed to the address provided on your application."
However, when I logged onto my portal it didn't have a decision. I was just curious if this happened to anyone else. Thanks!

I did, this morning! Awesome woman (asst dean of graduate admissions), smart and warm, had great advice about the best path to pursue what I'm interested in (early childhood preventive health, following through adulthood). It went well, I think. I was pretty set on Simmons; now I'm on the fence a bit again. There's something to the cross-disciplinary opportunities in a large university. And she was just so great and supportive.
She did tell me they only take 28 DEN applicants (across ALL specialty tracks--not just FNP!), so NOT counting chickens. I thought they took about 100. Thrown a bit by that!
