Hi everyone,
I just wanted to get a thread started for Northeastern's Direct Entry On-Campus Program for Fall 2015. Feel free to post anything about the program here! Thanks!
Hey guys,
I called NU yesterday. The woman I spoke with said they are reviewing applications and calling for interviews by specialty track that we applied for and did not specify how much longer it would be til they'd be done, but said they are moving fast as they know we have other deadlines.
The faculty member who interviewed me was very friendly and made it more like a conversation. We talked about why I wanted to attend Northeastern, why I was interested in adult/gerontology care, my experiences, etc. She said we should hear back at the beginning of March (I think they're also behind because the school has had multiple snow days in the past few weeks), but hopefully sooner!
What did they ask at your interview? Mine is next Wednesday. Also did they mention when you'd hear a decision by?
my interview was really really informal. It was just kind of like a conversation where she looked through my resume and personal statement and just kind of asked me questions about myself, not even really relating to nursing. I kind of found myself trying to throw in tid-bits about why I wanted to be a NP and keep us on track. She mostly seemed like she wanted to get to know me and make sure I was personable.
In terms of a timeline, they told me they don't have a "set date" in which they get back to you about a decision. They said they are trying to finish interviews next week and get back to people the beginning of march because they are aware of the deadlines. They said it's pretty much like rolling admissions but if you have a deadline (they asked me, and I do) they said they would try to let me know before then.
Good luck!

Congratulations, capegril13! You must be so excited!!! Did they call you yesterday or email you? I applied to Regis for their Regular Decision pool, but have not heard anything... Do you live far from Weston? I would presume the Admissions building is a good guess at where to go.
Make sure its graduate admissions though!
