Members are discussing accreditation for nursing programs, specifically in California. Some members are sharing information about RN-to-BSN programs that accept graduates from non-accredited ASN programs. There is also discussion about the process of obtaining RN licenses in California and transferring from out-of-state programs. Additionally, members are forming support groups and seeking information about class schedules and program outcomes, such as passing the NCLEX exam.
I'm looking for opinions of anyone who has attended, currently attends, or has been accepted to the online LPN to RN program at North Palm College of Nursing.
What are the online lectures like? Are there live or recorded video lectures? It's my understanding clinical are local to the college. How often do you attend clinicals? Can you please share any pros and cons about the program?
Well, being of the older generation; no offense on you younger girls, I spent hours researching North Palm because myself being an LPN was interested in transitioning to RN. Their address is a shopping mall; big red flag. I could not find there actual physical office. There are nail salons, dry cleaners. No North Palm. I was able to dig up some reviews stating that after they sent their deposit several thousand dollars or more no one was answering them. That's another big red flag. My mother always told me if something seems too good to be true. It's not. Only suggestion I can make is....Buyer beware. Just remember if you use a credit card and you don't get an answer by the date you're supposed to start which I was told September 5. You have every right to go back to your credit card, which I highly suggest you use if you're going to make a transaction, and dispute the charges. Good luck, thank you for listening. Take care of yourself and good luck on your transition.

@FNPDC Yes so correct it's self paced, they will give you a schedule for the classes its so you have a guide for dates for the 2 classes you take at a time. The homework has no due dates so just stay consistent and focus if you want to move forward and quickly. So in a sense no there is no due dates. You could pretty much take both of your classes simultaneously together but just keep in mind in order to move to the next class. You have to complete all homework all papers all labs and passing midterm final and then yes they will grant you access on the next classes.
