North Palm College of Nursing - LPN to RN Online

Updated:   Published

What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing accreditation for nursing programs, specifically in California. Some members are sharing information about RN-to-BSN programs that accept graduates from non-accredited ASN programs. There is also discussion about the process of obtaining RN licenses in California and transferring from out-of-state programs. Additionally, members are forming support groups and seeking information about class schedules and program outcomes, such as passing the NCLEX exam.

I'm looking for opinions of anyone who has attended, currently attends, or has been accepted to the online LPN to RN program at North Palm College of Nursing.

What are the online lectures like? Are there live or recorded video lectures? It's my understanding clinical are local to the college. How often do you attend clinicals? Can you please share any pros and cons about the program?

Last question for you, it says 9 to 12 months for the fast track. Any idea how some people are doing in 9 vs 12 months? Can you work ahead or something?

I got my transcript analysis back and it says 12 months estimated.

Thanks for your help!

Hello, yeah the 9 months I don't think that's possible. 12 months is more realistic. And yes, you can work ahead because of self-paced. Did you have all your pre-reqs done?

I have prior medical education and a bachelor's in non nursing.

I transferred in all the Anatomy, gen ED's, micro, Human development etc. I think 10 classes Including 2 labs were transferred in.

So far they've been great to work with. Props to North palm. They must be really busy and popular.

OK that's excellent! Yes they're getting very busy now and I'm sure this new class in September will be a huge cohort.

Hi all , yes, 9 month s is possible , especially if you took most of your pre-courses you only need the nursing courses. With my understanding if you're a fast learning person  thats like 6- 7 months.  And also the school in Minnesota is also 6 months online  and you go for your clinical after your courses  but the waiting list is a year 🫣. That's  the reason why I'm going to North palm. Good luck guys

What's the name of the school in Minnesota?

Can you explain how due dates work? Everyone says it's online at your pace, but people talk about weekly assignments. Are there things due on a weekly basis or you're dinged?

Just curious what to expect as a working student re: due dates and classwork/tests.

Northwest Technical College , financial aid available too.

Hello Ramatu Abukari.

Well, I went to Berkeley College for my associates and my bachelor's degree  most of my classes were on online  I graduated in 2017. So I'm OK with online.  I didn't know h9w it works for them.  You can schedule a meeting with them so you can understand the process.

Hello. I am new here to the forum and looking for more info on North Palm college-Lpn to RN program. I am an Lpn and have completed all my pre reps and in search of a program already, after being on the waiting list for two schools; starting to get frustrated. Anyone that's a student here or has graduated, could you give an update please. Thank you kindly. I am located in the state of Georgia.

Hi,

Got accepted. Here is what I was told.

"The program is self-paced and asynchronous, meaning you will have full access to all course materials and lectures online. There are no scheduled class times, allowing you the flexibility to study at your own pace."

Pineapples, does this mean that when you finish a class you can move right on to the next? The advisor seemed to think you could go through the program as fast as you can and as fast as you work it.

That said, can you better explain homework requirements and due dates? Not sure how there's due dates when it's self paced.

Just want clarity before paying the deposit.

Thanks pineapples303!!
