North Palm College of Nursing - LPN to RN Online

Updated:   Published

What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing accreditation for nursing programs, specifically in California. Some members are sharing information about RN-to-BSN programs that accept graduates from non-accredited ASN programs. There is also discussion about the process of obtaining RN licenses in California and transferring from out-of-state programs. Additionally, members are forming support groups and seeking information about class schedules and program outcomes, such as passing the NCLEX exam.

I'm looking for opinions of anyone who has attended, currently attends, or has been accepted to the online LPN to RN program at North Palm College of Nursing.

What are the online lectures like? Are there live or recorded video lectures? It's my understanding clinical are local to the college. How often do you attend clinicals? Can you please share any pros and cons about the program?

The zoom was.... Not good... I'm disheartened and disappointed. I recorded the last 35 minutes.

I really need to see more people who were able to be licensed, outside of Florida. From my understanding we will take our NCLEX and have a Fl.  license Then apply for a compact license or have to transfer our license to our current state. My worst fear is not being able to practice in my state.  I'm a state employee

It was basically a pep talk.  I had to leave when everyone was trying to ask a question at the same time.  She wasn't able to figure the zoom thing out.  The meeting was partially in response to some of the comments made on here.

My fear is not being able to continue my education because schools won't accept transcripts from a non-accredited institution.

So did they mention about the accreditation on zoom zoom meeting today? I am asking also because I want to know if eventually they will be accredited.  I live in California and you know california is very strict when it comes to licensing.

@Maebs99 So that was my concern as well but I just looked it up.

Got Your RN from a Non-Accredited ASN Program? You Still Have BSN Options!

Hey nurses and students 👋 — I just wanted to clear something up that a lot of people are confused about:

If your ASN program wasn't ACEN- or CCNE-accredited, but it was state-approved and you've passed the NCLEX-RN, you can still get into several RN-to-BSN programs.

Here are schools that accept active RNs even if your ADN/ASN program wasn't nationally accredited:

Schools That Accept Non-Accredited ASN Grads (with RN license):

Aspen University – affordable, online, accepts valid RN license

Western Governors University (WGU) – self-paced, flexible, accepts state-approved programs

Chamberlain University – very RN-friendly, case-by-case transcript review

Capella University (FlexPath) – flat-rate tuition, self-paced, accepts licensed RNs

Grand Canyon University (GCU) – good support, may accept transcripts from non-accredited programs

The RN license is what matters most to these schools — not the original program accreditation. So if you're licensed and your school was state-approved, you're good to go.

This is what I found look it up and do you own research.

The zoom meeting was supposed to be recorded. I haven't been notified how to get the transcript yet.

is anyone from California or know anyone from California that has already taken boards? were they able to transfer? just gave my down payment today and I am beyond nervous n I'm hoping this school doesnt screw me>

@celene moreno

Hey! So I spoke with North Palm College recently, and they let me know that they've been actively working with the California Board of Nursing to make sure everything is lined up for students .The school has already submitted the necessary paperwork to the Board, and it's currently pending review. The goal is to have everything in place so that by the time students are ready to apply for their RN license in California, the process will be as smooth and straightforward as possible. They're basically making sure that all the curriculum and requirements match what California needs, so we're not stuck with any surprises later on. They are actually working on all of the states, but they picked California first due to them having so many students enrolled from California.

Hope this helps and you can call the school for more information.

Has anyone received thier class schedule? Or login information for June 2nd?

I was told by my advisor to look for information this week, last week. Still nothing.

Hello ladies,

Not sure what is going on but it's clear . The school is extremely busy .
