North Ga College And State University Fall 2010!!

I just got my late acceptance for NGCSU today!! I am so excited! I have been on the waiting list for the 2nd year and its about time!! But has anyone else been accepted for fall? I didn't see a thread on it. Congrats to all!!! YAY!:nurse:

At NGCSU can you go straight for a BSN? From what I'm reading you can get an ASN, or ASN-BSN...but not straight BSN. Is this correct?

for students who are not already RN's they have to start at the ASN level and then once they are done they can bridge to their BSN. I don't know why they don't offer a BSN for incoming students that aren't already RN's. But I was trying to get my BSN but didn't get accepted anywhere. So I can just get my ASN and atleast I can start my career then either do online courses or go to school 1 day a week and 2 online classes. It only takes a year also to bridge from ASN-BSN. I am excited either way!! I can't believe how wonderfully it worked out! I got accepted to the campus right down the street from me! The Main campus is 30 miles north of me. Its easy for me to think about how I wont have my BSN but I have to ignore that side of me and be grateful that I even got accepted anywhere. I was on the waiting list at NGCSU for the second year. But to answer you question lol... yes your right.

I want to apply to NGCSU for the 2012 fall semester. Its actually my college of choice, I hear its a nice program. If you don't mind me asking what was your GPA and TEAS score?

I was also hoping to go straight to a BSN, but at least from what I see NGCSU offers the ASN-BSN mostly online.

I just caught that in your msg "it only takes a year to bridge ASN-BSN". I didn't realize that, not bad! 30 miles north, I'd say cumming. :)

Thanks GAmommy81!! I can't believe its FINALLY happened. I was juuuust about to give up! GOD is great! but yes I do live in Cumming and I didn't have the best scores. I am actually worried that they made a mistake. lol..I have called the nursing dept and the admissions office seriously like 6 times. But I am so glad I got into the Lanier Tech/Forsyth campus! That was the campus I chose so its great..right across from my daughters daycare. But anyways my TEAS was really really really bad...I did retake it but didn't send my second scores b/c I gave up on North GA. but my score they have is a 72.4!!! Can you believe that! thats probably why I was on the waiting list for the second year. But my Grades weren't great either. I had 2 C's in my A&P's. but the rest were A's and B's. I think I had like 4 A's and 8 B's. But I ended up retaking my A&P's for nothing..(they didn't even see my new scores yet) I ended up with 2 B's. but back to your question...Teas 72.4, GPA (before I retook classes) 3.1 now after 3.3. and;

Chem B-A

Chem B-C

Math Modeling A

Psyc A

Develop. psyc B

I have included my grades for you b/c I know that most people don't take the time to do that. But I know what its like to desperately NEED to know for your own sanity..lol. but if I can help anymore let me know. or if you have any more ?'s. Good luck and you can do it! It is a great school and I am so so excited!

oh forgot to mention these are the grades that I got accepted with. My new grades are better. well only the anatomy's are B/B's now. But I am sure if you had better grades than mine then you wouldn't end up on the waiting list for basically 2 years. But I think that they do give you points for being on the waiting list. I honestly feel that its an act of GOD..haha. :)

You have no idea how encouraging this is. I am only in my 2nd semester of working on my pre-req's....and the pressure to make all A's. The pressure I'm putting on myself that is. Of course I want to achieve all A's, but if something happens and I don't....then I don't need to lose hope! I will always and forever remember your post! I will strive for A's, but I can only do my best .... and if I don't make A's its NOT the end of the world! I am SOOOOO proud of you for not giving up, that is another thing that will help me kep moving forward despite any challenges I face. :)

I totally agree! I was beginning to wonder if HE could still hear me. It even makes it more AWESOME to me!! I am still in disbelief..and working this weekend at my crap job..lol..was really tough!

What! you got in with those grade, I'm mad. I have A&P 1&2 B, Micro C, College Algebra A, Stats A, psych A, currently have a bachelors, and TEAS 72 and I was rejected, but I guess it was good because I was accepted into West GA retook the TEAS and scored an 82. I heard that they have a great program, so far I'm loving West GA.
