Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello,

Well I am trying my chance with NCTC VN (and ADN if I don't get into the VN) program. I applied over 10 years ago (to be exact 11 yrs ago) now that my children are in college (one just graduate at the end of last year) I can now pursue my life goals.  My goal is to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. Yes, I already have a bachelor's degree in another industry; so I am starting small since I have to pay out of pocket. =[

I wanted to start this thread to communicate with others while going through this upcoming application cycle (March 1 - 31) for the Fall LVN program.

Back in 2013, NCTC had clear requirements that the science courses could not be older than 5 years (or maybe it was 7 years).

Has anyone heard if A/P or Microbiology courses have an expiration date?  I cannot find anything on their website or in the information sessions that state expiration dates.

Lets chat about our experience

I'm going to fill it out in 5 minutes if it's open I'll let y'all know ? It's not open yet I'm going to fill it out later today hopefully it's open then

Started filling it out didn't ask for transcripts just asked me to enter grades. The application is super simple and straightforward ?

Okay perfect thank you so much! I was trying to plan ahead because I'm retaking my TEAS on the 21st! So I'll get all the transcripts done ahead of time! Are you able to save it and go back or have to finish all in one sitting?

Hey everyone! I applied for the lvn-RN transition program, but was just wondering how you guys did on your TEAS and how many points yall have?

I'm retaking mine Thursday 😅 I have As in my anatomy classes. I did great in my reading and math, okay on the English, but horrible in the science part of the TEAS the first time I took it but I also didn't have much study time. How did yours go?

I did not do that well because I was sick when I took it and didn't realize I have to wait 90 days in between taking it again. I'm just crossing my fingers I get in!

Yo,

I applied for the Fall 2024 ADN program at NCTC. I scored 80.7% on the TEAS and got A's in AP1&2. Do you think I'll get in with that?

Also, has anyone heard about a specific date we are supposed to hear back? I've heard May 10th and May 26th.

Yep 😞

Did anyone in the group apply for both programs (LVN & ADN), and has been accepted into the LVN program?
