Members are discussing their acceptance into the ADN program, sharing their TEAS scores, grades, and points for admission. Some members are questioning the waitlist process and the program they were accepted into based on the Intent to Attend form they received. There is also confusion about orientation dates and discussions about alternate programs like LVN to RN.
Hello,
Well I am trying my chance with NCTC VN (and ADN if I don't get into the VN) program. I applied over 10 years ago (to be exact 11 yrs ago) now that my children are in college (one just graduate at the end of last year) I can now pursue my life goals. My goal is to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. Yes, I already have a bachelor's degree in another industry; so I am starting small since I have to pay out of pocket. =[
I wanted to start this thread to communicate with others while going through this upcoming application cycle (March 1 - 31) for the Fall LVN program.
Back in 2013, NCTC had clear requirements that the science courses could not be older than 5 years (or maybe it was 7 years).
Has anyone heard if A/P or Microbiology courses have an expiration date? I cannot find anything on their website or in the information sessions that state expiration dates.
Lets chat about our experience
Vanessa Billings said:Did your "Intent to Attend" form say ADN program? I got accepted into the ADN program but my Intent to Attend form is for the LVN to RN program & I'm hoping it is a mistake on their part as I DEFINITELY didn't apply for that program and assume that to be accepted to it I would've had to submit a valid LVN license ?
I think they made a mistake because I only applied to the ADN program and mine said that as well. I emailed them about it though I'm sure it was an accident! I will let y'all know if I hear anything!
