Update on ECPI??? Current Students or Grads??

U.S.A. North Carolina

I havent seen any information on ECPI's lpn program on here since 2009... Just wanted to start a new thread on here and see if any new, past students or grads have any opinions on their program. I already know its expensive and accelerated. I'm entering the program in August (Charlotte, NC) and could use information on your experience there. I'm mentally prepared to study in this program like its summer classes in a cc. I'm interested in both in-class opinions and how your experience has been after graduation. Are you happy with what you learned there? Would you do it again? Have you had a problem getting a job since your lpn credentials are from ECPI? Are you immediately dropped if you fail a test? Have any lpn grads been able to enter a lpn to rn program coming from ECPI??? etc. Just ANYTHING you'd like to share is much appreciated!

I start ecpi lpn program June 17th! A couple of my friends went there and now are working and making good money! The lady in career services has a lot of contacts with hospitals and other clinics! My friend works at the jail making 25.00/h ecpi helped her get the interview! And also Carolina school of health science takes ecpi students for their lpn to bridge program!

First, I want to say congratulations on your upcoming journey to the nursing field! I graduated from the ECPI Raleigh LPN program in 2009 so idk much about Charlotte. It was hard, but worth so yes I would do it again. At the time i was going it was a private college now i hear it's a university so i'm not sure of how it is now. Our program was very condensed. lots of info packed into short classes so it was very demanding. Also, there was a rule to maintain an 80 average for a class in order to move on to the next. I have had no problems getting a job and passed NCLEX on the first try. Actually, my very first time getting hired as a nurse, my DON was a graduate of an ECPI program in VA so it was ironic. I have since then been employed by different well known companies with no problem. My advice is to stay focused and take it very seriously from beginning to end. Stay motivated always remembering your reasons why because failure is not an option. I'd recommend getting an NCLEX study guide like Saunders and do practice questions from that the entire time. You're going to do great!

I go to the ecpi in charlotte! I just started but it's a great school just very fast pace & hard!

I will start ECPI Raleigh site in July for the LPN program. I've read horrible reviews but take to a person that went through the program and they said they loved it... I'm praying that I do well in the program myself and I wish everyone luck..

Sorry it took so long to get back here....

Sorry I took so long to reply... Im learning the site and couldnt get back to my own post! duh. But THANKS MING!!! I'm officially in it to win it in ECPI's August class (they pushed for the June 17th, but it was too soon since I had just contacted them on 6/1.). And here I was worried that I'd have a problem getting my rn once I ws done. I didn't know CSHS took ecpi's credits!!!! I'm elated and excited now!!!! I've been trying for years to get into local nursing programs. Its been about 10 yrs of trying and I'm TIRED of sitting behind someone's desk doing paperwork and spreadsheets. And I've grown tired of the NUMEROUS waitlisting slots I was put on here in Charlotte. CPCC has like 20 slots and 3-400 applicants, can't do it anymore. See you at ecpi!!!
