Hi, I'm a new nursing assistant and have been look for work for a couple of months now. Last Thursday I had an interview at a rehabilitation center and accepted the position. I signed and had all my paper work process, took my id picture and received my employee handbook. The only thing left was my drug test, which i know i passed, I never tried drugs before and my background test. Today makes a week and i haven't heard anything yet. I'm wondering if they changed their mind. I'm also anxious because my license expire in December. I received it in September 2009 at 8months pregnant and have been looking since January 2010. I don't know if i should call or keep waiting.
I don't know why the hiring process can be so crazy! I interviewed 3 weeks ago (great interview) the person interviewing me asked what hrs I was available (the position was part time) I told them I was open and could work as many hrs as needed.. they circled FT... they called me to let me know the shift charge nurse wanted to do a phone interview with me. Then nothing... So I called to follow up and they said that they hadn't called me back because there were no FT positions available and now they thought that even the PT position had been filled ... they said that they would have someone call me to let me know when I could come in to fill out paperwork but I haven't gotten that call that was about 2 days ago...I don't know if I'm in or out I would just like to know one way or another!! Sorry to vent!

I waited way longer than that lol. I went in for an interview about the last week of october (im working my way back through the postings to gain info) for my very first interview for a cna position. They called me back with good news on my refs, then good news on my background check, then nothing. They just called me back again, and of course with no esp i am still looking, and said they wanted me to come in tuesday for orientation. So about a month and a half...normal, prob not. But im excited...and scared out of my mind!
