Hello,
I'm a LPN applying for Norfolk State night and weekend program. I was wondering if anyone else out there has been though the program. If so, what was the GPA needed to gain admission?

Which program are you interested in....LPN-ADN or LPN-BSN? I think I may be interested in NSU night/weekend program. Let me know how things pan out. Where you currently practicing and how long have you been a LPN? I start school in 29 days and I'm a complete nervous wreck.
Well good luck to you. Let me know what information you find out.
Stephanie:)
I'm interested in there LPN-BSN program. I have been a LPN going on 2 years. I work in corrections which pays good but not a great environment. Stay focused and don't give up. Test like every test is the nclex and you will be fine. Good Luck
I'm thinking of doing the LPN-BSN. But I wanna get throught LPN school first.
Thanks for the advice and good luck to you.

So did you get into the program?
Yes, I got in the evening weekend program. I was unable to do it because I'm in the national guard. So I will be starting May 09 LPN-BSN Day Program. I love Norfolk State. I turned down another program to stay at Norfolk State.
Hi All! On summer break from my LPN program. I'm still interested in NSU's LPN_BSN night/weekend program. I went on the website and I wanted to clarify what prereqs I needed. How many are there...geeez. I counted alot. What they main ones I need to be accepted into the program. I know I need a college chem, A/P I & II, Eng 111, 112 and Mico. What else? I think I'm going to start in the summer or 2010. Two classes at a semester because I have a day job and I don't see me getting them out of the way unless I do that route.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
Stephanie
Hey,
I just started in the program. Let me just my first week wasn't that great. You have some teachers that can teach and some that can't. Be ready when I tell that the program is very unorganized. Listern to me when I tell you that you will be doing alot of self learning. But, if that's good with you than go for it. I do regret going to Norfolk State's Nursing Program. But, I will make it though. So, you can do the LPN-ADN Program and it's less pre-reqs. So, hopefully I will be graduating in Summer 2010. Remember, you have to pass the HESI to exit. Out of 60 something people that graduated this year 13 passed. So, everybody else didn't graduate. They have to take and pass it.
