Usually they are not really called tuition reduction, they are called out-of-state waivers.
This is a common practice among universities that border different states. They have a set group of counties, townships, or zip codes that are out-of-state, that they will provide in-state tuition to.
Private Schools, typically do not have in/out-of-state guidelines.
I was talking about the program that is mentioned here:

I am going to be starting the ABSN at SU in just a few months (August 2009). I am out of state so I was going to apply to the program, if I decide to move out of state, then I will pay it back. It just gives me more time and less stress while I have been a student without much income. Also, even though SU is a 4 year school but the program is only 3 semesters, is the contract for 2 or 4 years? I am looking for a fellow nursing student for a roommate, so if you or anyone you know is looking, please contact me!
good luck!

I am a NY resident. I am looking at Salisbury U in order to attend the ASBN. I still want to live on the Eastern seaboard but not in NY (way too much money to live in this state). Has anyone done the non-resident tuition reduction program?
If so you think it is worth the contractual time required?
