Hi, I am new here and want to know what other non nursing degree programs in Phd level are available for me to attend. I am RN with master degree in medical surgical nursing education, currently working in hospital and very happy of my years of nursing experiences
which I have, but i want to continue my education in other major to expand my knowledge but not in nursing, any information
regarding this issue highly appreciated, can I transfer my nursing credits to those majors or not.

Wouldn't you be better adressing your questions to educational insitutions?

Would also depend on what you want to do

Your question needs to be more specific. There are dozens of Phd programs.

As well as what you plan to do with it. You may wish to check out the Forums for this topic under the graduate forums. The same degrees that are offered in the US are offered in Canada.
But first you need to decide what you actually wish to do in the first place, start there, not be what programs are available. If it is not something that you really want to do, then ultimately you are not going to be happy with it.

You can do anything you want really. Any PhD based on your interest, I know people with nursing background in Canada doing PhD in Education, Medical Science, Public Health, Geography, Sociology, Anthropology, History. Basically, the answer is, it depends on your interest.
