Nomination for America's Best Nurse- American Healthcare Council

So I received an email from the American Healthcare Council that I was nominated and selected to be listed in the 2017 awards program for top 100 of America's Best Nurses.

Does this sound legit? Has anyone else been nominated for this?

I received these emails as well! Thank you for posting on this site! Your responses clarified my suspicious thoughts! One thing I did notice after looking a little closer at the email..in tiny little print at the bottom of the page, there is an unsubscribe from email section. Meaning a mass email list! These people should be punished for scamming nurses! We work hard and take care of people in need! I would like to know who these people are! I am sure they are cared for by a nurse at some point in their lives!

I also received this scam. I was leery because what have I done to receive this award? When I asked who nominated me she said it was a compilation of many different things. Now I have 20 mins of my life I can never get back but I do have my precious hard earned money. After all the accolades and seemingly too interested in my mundane career she offered two levels of lifetime membership into this organization. A senior level for $1100 and regular level for $900. She pushed the senior level stating that was the one most people chose as it gets you the most exposure. After saying I would have to think about it she offered to lower the amount. I did not let her get to that amount as I was not going to hand over any money!!

I too received a call today from a woman calling herself Abby Dean. She did the same interview with me claiming I was nominated for "your excellence in nursing". Of course I was surprised and flattered until she made the pitch for a $900+ membership that would publicize my award. It was at that point that I realized that it was a scam.

Please, nurses beware of this scam.

We have all given our hearts, sweat and tears to our patients. Beware.

Got the call today! We got to the end and now they're pushing for me to "pay dues." No thanks!
