No teacher for ANATOMY!!!

So I registered for Anatomy and I have about 4 weeks until the class starts. However, since I registered and up until now they have no professor listed! I called them and asked what that meant and they replied that "they havent found someone yet but will." I am so worried. If this class gets cancelled Ill be behind a whole semester and all the other anatomy classes are full.

What do you think may happen?

Calm down. I'm sure they will find a teacher before its time for you to start. They don't have all my teachers listed when I sign up for classes either but they always have class. I'm sure they'll get it together so you won't fall behind.

You should be fine. Like PG said, this happens a lot :-). It's definitely scary, but it's happened to me, too and I've always ended up with a class...and a teacher.

Anatomy's a fun class. I worked hard, but I really enjoyed it.

our instroctor for 101 was suposed to be teaching 102 same day and time for the spring, but apparently there is a question about her not returning next semester so we too are listed as not having a teacher yet. I am not worried though its a huge class to cancel the will find someone, I just hope its someone good. I was one of the odd people out that liked out proffesor now she was eccentric but she worked for me.

I don't like the idea of a "staff" person.....you never know what kind you may end up with. However, a teacher I signed up for in the past was cancelled on us and we ended up with quite a "BOZO" :uhoh3:

Good luck, I hope it will work out for you.

It does happen. Try not to stress about things you cannot control, and keep an eye out on the other classes and see if anything opens up.

You will be fine! As previously stated this is not an uncommon situation. If there are enough people enrolled in your class (to make a full or almost full class) they will find an instructor. The only time I have ever seen classes cancelled at my college is when there are only 10 or so people enrolled once the quarter starts. But A&P is a major prereq for all of the health science degrees so you will be fine. You are stressing over something that should not be stressed over. They will find an instructor.

thanks for the support.

I finally got a hold of the biology dept yesterday and the hired someone but she is new. :uhoh21:

Hopefully she knows her stuff.

And my bio dept would cancel a class even if it was filled up with 30 people. They dont care :o. But I shouldnt have to worry too much until physio. There is only one teacher for that class for the whole school!!! Craziness.

Thanks again

Dang, you dug this up from the grave! LOL! :D

One thing I have done is attend a closed course's scheduled lecture anyway in the hopes that someone will drop the class AND you know someone most always does especially the bigger classes! This way you have not missed anything covered and you're not starting behind. Seriously, it works a lot of the time. It is a trick that I have taught many and many have gotten in :)
