I have read other discussions regarding CA BON can take several weeks for results, but I'm am going crazy here waiting especially when a friend of mine took her NCLEX exam a week after me only to get the results in 3 days online. I called the board to find out if they have my transcripts and everything needed to process my paperwork. angryfire is wrong with this picture. I was very sick the day of the exam with a sinus infection, worst headache of my life, had a astma attack at the center before the test, and coughed the whole time taking the exam. The darn computer shut off at 75 questions, leaving me to feel while a failure after spending 2 1/2 hours to answer the 75 questions. I feel as though I failed the exam, I'm supposed to start orientation tomorrow and sick to my stomach of going to tell them that I believe I'd failed the exam. Oh a couple other people took their exam the same time I did and my friend and their names are not on the computer either. Go figure. Thanks for letting me fent about the situation.
I'm not ungratefull in anyway. I know boards were also held over 3 days on paper and pencil at Dodger stadium. So i really appreciate CAT. Please understand that every day without my license is another day that patients go unserved. Also with our budget "crisis", wouldn't it be a great source of revenue for the BRN to have us pay them $6 for early results? Obviously by these message boards, knowing results is stress. For me I need to know what my finacial situation is going to be like for the next quarter because I am the main source of finances for my family. If I am going to go through the process of taking this test again I need to know so i can prepare now. I have friends who are on public assistance and must make plans for the worse. Money is running out there is no school grants covering us during this time.
It's scary and unhealthy to be placed in this limbo when the solution seems very simple. After all 29 other states found a way.
Don't give up hope because I haven't, several people found out today that they passed and they tested about the same time as me almost two weeks ago. So there is hope. Just like some of you, I pretty much have talked myself into the fact that I have failed and only hoping that I have passed. It would be to much to go to work and tell my supervisor that I failed the NCLEX and have to be a CNA or secretary until I passed the boards. It makes me sick to my stomach to learn other people found out their results and I still have to wait.
Do you know for a fact that they have your transcripts or are you just assuming?
Well, I was told by my school that they went out in the mail to Sacramento on July 6th. Two other girls took the test 2 days prior to me ( my test was July 1st) and their results just posted on Monday and Tuesday on July 18th and 19th. Every day that passes makes me more and more nervous that I failed. I am not positive that my transcripts are there but again everyone says not to call the board so there is no way to know for sure if they have them or not unless I call. I know they have thousands of students to deal with so I don't want to call and aggrivate them but at the same time I am just dying, haven't been able to sleep or eat for like 3 days now because my nerves are just so bad. Anyone reading ths pray for me!

Isn't this nuts! I have been waiting 20 dyas now, not as bad as 14 weeks but still.....I think the board must have a spy that looks at this site and they purposely make us wait just to see how far we can go without going totally nuts! :rotfl: I have another friend that took it today and she is afraid of how long she will have to wait to. Lets keep our fingers crossed! Hopefully we passed!
Seems like everybody in CA seems to be waiting a long time for their results . This is a absolutely torturous and the most miserable time I have ever had in my life. Is it true that the BON will yank the IP right away if anybody failed?
Yes, you lose your IP if you fail. It is only an "Interim Permit" until you take NCLEX. AS soon as the scores are up, you wither go to an RN license, or you lose your status. You cannot remain an IP if you do not pass the Boards.
Ther reason for the millionith time that there are no early results is that they will permit a new grad to take the exam before they have final transcripts. They are the only state that permits that. Perhaps they should end that and then you could get early results.
Just because a school states that they sent transcripts on such and such a day, that doesn't mean that yours were included with those, or that the BON received them. You need to verify with them that they have your results.
And you call first thing in the morning, if you do it right when they open you can get thru right away. I have never had a problem getting thru when I have done it like this.
Okay I called today at exactly 9am and got through. They said that they don't have my live scan finger print sheet. I know I sent it but they gave me a fax number and I faxed the copy I have in my file. I think what happened is that I got married and my live scan said my maiden name and everything else is my married name. Atleast I know now! A friend of mine called this am too and they said that they have not processed her transcripts, they said everything was there but just not processed. She asked them if they could do it and they said they would do it today and to check in 2-3 days. so there is probably some reason why you have a hold up. You may have to call a million times but try right at 9 am, I started calling at 8:55 and got through right when the clock turned 9. HOpefully I will have good news soon :)

I am still waiting. I took my test July 1st, and I was beginning to think that they may have not received the transcripts yet so I called this afternoon. They told me as well that my live scan results haven't been processed. I am getting really frusterated. I sent them out on April 6th literally right after I got them completed. If you have that fax number could I possibly have it? They didn't even offer it to me!
I'm so sorry yall are in limbo-land! I think having to wait a long time for results these days is a lot harder than "back in the day when it was 3 days long and on paper" because of the fact that so many people these days can find out in just a few days. Whereas back then everyone had to wait for months to find out. I can't imagine how frustrating this is for you all, I hope each of you gets your results really soon. Hang in there everyone!
checked this morning and finally after weeks of waiting and worrying that i had failed the exam, to my shock and relief my name was on the ca bon website. so there is hope for those still waiting. don't give up and by all means don't think you have failed.
