No Chemistry Needed?

Published

Hi, Everyone:

I noticed by looking through my school's nursing curriculum that Chemistry is not listed anywhere as a required course. Does that seem strange to anyone? You need A&P 1&2, and Microbiology. The school has at least a 95% first time pass rate of the NCLEX for several years running, so I don't even know if this is an issue. Do you think that you need Chemistry or do you think that you will get everything you need with the other 2 sciences?

Some of the nursing programs in other cc districts as well as some nursing programs in other cc's in the same district require College Algebra instead of Chemistry.
