No appreciation for NOC

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Everywhere at work this week were flyers listing all the goodies and fun things they did for nurses week. Days and pms both had something special done for them on every shift this week.. Food prizes etc... On Noc we got nothing.. Like zilch. Not even a lousy piece of candy left for us lol! ..I guess nurse appreciation only counts when Managment is there to soak in their generosity. Lol

The joke is on days though, because the night staff are awesome :) My hospital made sure night shift got pizza and cupcakes, which was nice. But if I have to trade food for my coworkers and our great teamwork...I'll take my coworkers any day!

Absolutely!!!

I work 12-hour nights and would rather not be recognized. For me, the entire point of working the night shift is to fly under the radar and avoid being detected by the managerial suits who work daylight hours. The less they acknowledge me, the merrier!

The world in general doesn't think anyone works after 11pm. You gotta do it yourself and do it RIGHT, so when day's comes in they see all the left overs they say "Hey! Where's OURS????" :roflmao:

We always get ignored.
