Does anybody have any experience with NNAS? So far, I've read the site but it would be great to hear from people who have gone through the process :)
@medray there are a variety of reasons for IENs to pursue becoming licensed in Canada, some are Canadian citizens who want to return and reunite with their family and friends, some are married to Canadians and want to move to be closer to their spouse's family and some are immigrants who are in the process of settling or have already settled in Canada.
In the last five years, it's also become the norm to see a poster on units reminding staff that 'English is the language of the workplace '.
interesting @Fiona59
what city are you in/where have you seen them? I've never seen anything like that but I also have never really been looking. Who issues the signs? I wonder what changed in the last five years which made this more common.
New dates has been announced for OSCE exam that are in March and 7th April 2017 , open for booking from 5th Dec.I plan for 7th April. Are there any one else who plan for April 7? . I have found many are providin OSCE exam preparation for station. Any testimonial in this regard?
I'm currently out of canada and plan to be there 2 weeks prior to exam date around 26 March
@Tabss yes I saw! Thanks for sharing. Good luck to you and me and everyone else who will be attempting to register for IENCAP tomorrow. Fingers crossed we all get a space. I'm going to try for March as I just want to get this thing done and over with.
I started my NNAS registration some time in april 2016, from my exprience with NNAS i would rate them 3/4 over 10. Which i consider very poor. I think NNAS is a WASTE OF TIME. They seem to be over whelmed by the number of applications from IENs. My status still says waiting for final review as at today 7/12/2016, after delaying my post basic status update for 3months. I had to write a lot of letters to remind them the additional documents has been sent for over 3months.
NNAS IS JUST TOO SLOW in their responds to IEN.

It may not be that NNAS is slow, but that your school did not send adequate information.Did you follow the NNAS video tutorial recommendation and write a letter to your school and explain the importance of sending not just the official transcript, program curriculum and school syllabi, but course work materials, course objectives? Did you check that your school sent detailed descriptions that are reflective of your nursing education? The information the school sends impacts your NNAS results and many applicants received results that were somewhat comparable or not comparable because the information their schools sent was inadequate. The NNAS assessment checks the IENs education to see that it contains content similar to the Entry to Practice Competencies that are a part of the Canadian baccalaureate education.
Just one example of their snail pace. NNAS takes 3 to 4 weeks on average, just to update on online portal that they have recieved the x document.
You are talking about quality of document send by schoold and it's totally different thing

Oh, I didn't realize the lunch break was also part of the exam / observation of english skills etc. That explains it then. I guess I will understand more about how it works once I've taken the exam. But if that is part of the exam then I don't feel as offended on their behalf either. Thanks for explaining @dishes
