2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

Hello everyone,

Has anyone received COS that was applied before or on 5th August? Please update us if you have received COS for the month of August. Thank you.

Hi! According to my agency my COS was applied before aug 5. I called them for an update and they said that they cannot answer it since it's already within the scope of my Trust. Please do give an update once you receive yours and i'll do the same.

Thank you for your urgent reply. I also contacted my agency on the 15th of August and they replied by saying that they have not heard from the Hospital.

I will keep you posted in case of any update. Thanks once again.

Hi good day... My cos was applied before aug5 according to my agency coz my dL arrived last july 27 only. At the moment i am scheduled for visa appearance as my cos has been released last week.

Maybe it depends on the trust or your agency's eagerness to follow up for your cos on the trust who hired you.. Goodluck i hope your cos can be release as soon as possible..

Hi there. I received my DL at the end of July, and received my CoS a couple days ago. I think it really highly depends on both your agency and the trust you're in. Good luck everyone~

Hi good day guys. I just wanted to ask if anyone know someone who had been denied with uk visa?? Hi there. I dont have much knowledge on the topic but I assume they will ask why you were denied the other country's visa in the interview. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it's a significant reason that the UK should be worried about.

Which trust are you heading? Do you have an agency?

Thanks for the update. If you had your COS last week then it means that your COS was part of the July batch. The deadline for COS application is the 5th of every month and the outcome is known on or after the 11th of every month. If the 11th falls on weekend, the panel that decide the outcome of COS will allocate the COS on the next working day.

I am assuming your COS was part of the July batch because the panel responsible for the outcome of the August batch had a meeting on the successful ones this week.(13/08/2018).

Yes it is also true that how fast a COS is assigned to an individual depends on so many factors (frequent contact of agency to the trust, HR of the trust on leave etc)

All the best.

I have not heard of any nurse who applied with a genuine sponsorship and got denied of VISA. You will go through, only time will tell.

Moreover nursing is on the Shortage Occupation list for now so it is highly unlikely you will be denied.

All the best.

I will be in England, somewhere south of London. I will PM you soon.

Yes, I am going with an agency based in UK.

Hi guys! I'm currently on queue, but I sadly experienced a delay in my application.

July 7 - All documents received.

August 15 - First feedback. My assessor emailed me that I had 2 missing pages on my FATT. I replied immediately, saying I was sure those pages were sent.

August 17 - While waiting for the email response, I randomly (thank God) checked my portal and realized that they uploaded the 2 pages already, on August 15. I think my papers were found right after I was sent a feedback. Sadly, with the way the updates/instructions are formatted on the portal, I thought they wanted me to resubmit the pages. Instead, what I didn't realize was that I needed to resubmit my online application.

According to my agent, since all my requirements were 'completed just today', I am on the queue starting only today. I will make an appeal to my assessor. Hopefully she will reconsider.
