  1. That sounds like a plan. Call them ASAP.
  2. This is a quote from the UKVI website ; 'You'll need a certificate from any country you've stayed in for a total of 12 months or more over the last 10 years.' So if you did not stay there for a period of 12 months then you will not be required to produce one. Call them as you said to clarify too.
  3. Please calm down. Everything will be fine.
  4. Hello everyone, The NMC in collaboration with the test centres have published a new material for candidates preparing for the OSCE. The name of the material is ' OSCE Support Material '.This book has all the charts and other information used in the NMC OSCE and this was not available to the previous test takers. I think the OSCE is more transparent now. I recommend we download it for use while we wait to take OSCE.Check the websites of the test centres for it.
  5. Sounds like a plan! You can also have a look at their associate role (Nursing Associate) to be introduced in early next year if you are in hurry. All the best.
  6. If all of your documents have been submitted and you are on queue, NMC do everything possible to arrive at at decision before or on 60th day as promised. Calling or emailing is recommended when you have not heard from them after the 60 days or when you been assessed and been requested to submit additional feedback. It is also necessary to call them instead of emailing because you will receive an instant feedback. Email will take more than a week to receive feedback. Anyway you can still give them a call if you cannot wait.
  7. I may be wrong. NMC will only accept 1 year post qualification experience. In this case they will not consider the ASN experience. I will encourage you not to give up. Just try they might likely consider your case. I also learnt from a webiner that was organized by the NMC recently(Aug) that they might likely scrap that one year experience post graduation and this change is likely to become effective starting this September or early next year.
  8. COS received. Thank God.
  9. Hello, Go to NHS jobs website(Google) and search 'OSCE nurse', 'overseas nurse programme' etc. About 10 - 14 will pop up. These are Trusts looking for overseas nurses to work for them at band 3(pre - registered nurse). They will support you until you are fully registered. Apply to them and most will be willing to support you. I applied to about five of them after receiving my NMC decision letter and they all replied. Do not use an agency since you are already in UK. Once you are in UK(Scotland) already, you can also walk to any trust locally to ask them if they can support you if you don't want to work in England. You can also apply to positions on the NHS scot website(Google), tell them you are in the process of registering with NMC. Some might support you.
  10. Sorry to hear that. Once it is stated that one must wait for a period of 28 days, then it means there is no way to book before this time. It is possible too they might have locked your account during this period. I would suggest you wait and book after the 28 days. Give NMC a call if you are unable to book after 28 days. Please go over the Royal Marsden Manual of Clinical Nursing Procedures 9th Edition once again and solve the online questions after going over all topics. Go over drug calculations too. All the best.
  11. Yes, I am going with an agency based in UK.
  12. I will be in England, somewhere south of London. I will PM you soon.
  13. I have not heard of any nurse who applied with a genuine sponsorship and got denied of VISA. You will go through, only time will tell. Moreover nursing is on the Shortage Occupation list for now so it is highly unlikely you will be denied. All the best.
  14. Thanks for the update. If you had your COS last week then it means that your COS was part of the July batch. The deadline for COS application is the 5th of every month and the outcome is known on or after the 11th of every month. If the 11th falls on weekend, the panel that decide the outcome of COS will allocate the COS on the next working day. I am assuming your COS was part of the July batch because the panel responsible for the outcome of the August batch had a meeting on the successful ones this week.(13/08/2018). Yes it is also true that how fast a COS is assigned to an individual depends on so many factors (frequent contact of agency to the trust, HR of the trust on leave etc) All the best.
  15. Thank you for your urgent reply. I also contacted my agency on the 15th of August and they replied by saying that they have not heard from the Hospital. I will keep you posted in case of any update. Thanks once again.
