Hi Guys,
I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?
Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!
yeah,im also planning to call them. maybe,i'll wait for few more days. i was put on queue 5th of July. i'm just worried cause ive read few posts that they werent informed by NMC regarding docs that needs to be resubmitted unless the candidate emailed and asked them, which also delayed the assessment stage
Don't worry too much~ As mentioned by Klara, you're still only on 21 days of being in queue. If you're really concerned, just call and ask. And worry not, if there is anything missing, you will be told with your first feedback which can be easily fixed and you'll get the DL soon after~
Hello. Just want to ask if you observe delay in the upload of the documents you sent to NMC lately? Last June when I first sent docs to them it was uploaded the same they it was recea ved but now I sent additional docs and tgey received it last Monday and until now it isnot uploaded. Appreciate your feedback.

It can vary. They can take up to 14 days to be scanned and uploaded onto your application. If you're ever concerned, give them a call. It'll also be good to know they haven't lost or misplaced it. But yeah, NMC is notorious at being a roller coaster with their times. Sometimes they are quick, and other times.. really slow. Best of luck!
Hi everyone,
I seem to have a peculiar situation here. Has anyone ever had a discrepancy in date of birth that was submitted to NMC? I just found out my year of birth with my country's nursing council is two years younger than me. An error I think was committed by the person who helped with applying for registration as I was away at the time. I have tried to initiate a correction process with no luck and they have said it is the wrong age that will be sent to NMC on my registration verification document. I am very worried it will affect my DL with NMC. Can anyone suggest to me what to do ?
Please note that there is no way to verify one's DOB with our council except one applies for verification hence my just finding out after 9 years

Hi there. I have never heard of this issue but I think your best bet is emailing NMC or calling them. Tell them the issue and see what they say. They may just ask your council for a declaration of the mistake or for another verification certificate. Otherwise, can you ask the council to fix your DOB and then you can resend the verification? There are a few solutions but its best you ask NMC which they will accept so you dont go around in circles (:

Thank you Snownursee,
The major issue is that the council in my country has said the only condition where they will change the DOB is if the error is from them. Unfortunately it is indirectly from me. If NMC should ask the council to declare it as a mistake I doubt they will for this reason. I really don't know what other options are available. All my other documents including my birth certificate and other academic credentials bear my correct DOB.
I think I will give NMC a call as you suggested.
Thank you

Then if you let the NMC know that and perhaps they will simply ask a declaration from you (: I had to do something similar with some of my clinical hours breakdown paperwork.
I wish you the best!
