2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

Not sure about excitement yet hopefully after I pass ISCEs

This is my email contact me we can study for the OSCE together.

I'm coming from Australia. How about you?

I see I am coming from Canada

It seems like the NMC is processing the forms faster. I was put on the queu on july 12, I am on my 20th day today. Hope i will get my DL in 2 weeks . Im heading to colchester. Is there anyone living there, any tips? thank you

Yes usually takes 4-6 weeks

Just wondering how long people have had to wait for their visa applications?

I am being told by my agency they want me in London on the 7th of September but my visa application hasn't been submitted yet.

I've read some people receive it after a few days if there are no problems. are you done with the IOM?

Similar dates, mine started on July 10. I wanted to contact nmc to verify if I'm already on the queue (some applicants thought they were being assessed already, but discovered during a follow up call that they weren't), but my agency said nmc will give a feedback after 35 UK working days.

Sorry, IOM?

I am just hoping it doesn't delay my departure date. Hard to feel like it's really happening until those things are sorted and I have a plane ticket haha.

Sorry, I kind of assumed you were from my country. Where do you come from?

I'll be moving from Australia (: All good. How about you?

I read somewhere that visas take longer around this time because it's a busy season (students are processing their uk visas)
