2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

Anybody bound to Royal Marsden NHS? :)

Hi @drew_roils, same trust here, but still awaiting my DL. All documents were received yesterday April 25. I have yet to confirm via email if I am in the assessment queue.

May I ask which agency is assisting you? I am with Omanfil and they want me to schedule for IOM already. Is it ok to do so since I don't have my DL yet? Any others who did? Please advise. Thank you.

Hello, I have friend who scheduled for IOM while still waiting for her DL. She scheduled for IOM at the first week of April and she got her DL this week.

Thanks anne027, I might as well do it. Any idea how long is the result valid?

Hi all, my agency said that I may be able to be deployed in June. But she never tell me when I will receive the COS so that I can apply the work permit in my country.

Do you think she mean I will receive the COS before June so that I will be able to apply the work visa and be deployed?

If I'm not mistaken, it is 6 months. My friend had been on the assessment queue since the last week of February. Her agency suddenly called her sometime in March and was inquiring about her TB certificate. She wasn't aware that she was supposed to do that next step because she thought she would have to wait for her DL first.

Hello,

Anyone here already applying for their uk visa?

Greetings everyone!

I havent received an update from my agency regarding my CoS. They said it was filed on the 5th of April. Do you know how long it should take for the CoS to be released? Or have they not submitted the requirements on time thats why there is no update until now?

Anyone here who is due for CoS in April 2018?

And, when should we get the TB testing and the medical?

Thank you!

hello guys! The NMC emailed me my decision letter (finally!!!), however the assessment told me that I should provide a self-declaration of my activities within my employment gap. I really dont have an employment but the agency that handles my application told me to just encode my recent employment on my portal and never mind my past years employment as a volunteer nurse. May I ask for advise on what should I do? should I email the officer of my resume? than you!

Yes I think if u email your resume that should be enough

When did u submitted your application how long it took to receive your DL

hello maam, may I ask what's your agency?

Hi. This is the journey of my wife with her application to UK.

July 14, 2017: passed the IELTS exam

September 15, 2017: passed the CBT exam

October 17- NMC received all her docs

Dec 22,2017- We found out that she was not in the assessment queue due to some docs lacking.

Dec 27, 2017- complied all docs needed

Jan 18, 2018- got her DL

Submitted her DL to her agency. After 2 months of waiting, still no COS (Whittington NHS).

March 7, 2018- We decided to withdraw her application with Whittington NHS and transfer to KCH

March 22, 2018- She had her Skype interview with KCH.

March 28, 2018- Received her COS (5 days from her interview)

April 3, 2018- Visa appearance at VFS Manila (priority processing).

April 26, 2018- target date for deployment.

Hi Sir, it's so great that your wife has changed her mind to KCH. I am just curious about the COS, as i know we have to apply the COS before 5th of every month so that we can get it in mid of that month. Your wife received the COS on 28th, and interviewed on 22nd, did KCH apply COS for her before 5th, before she withdrew her application with Whittington NHS?

As I have just handed in all my documents to my agency then to KCH. I wonder when I can receive the COS.

Thank you!
