2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

Thank you! How about the re assessment, do you have an idea how long will it take? Will I wait 30-70 more days again back from the start? Thank you!

As I have read from previous posts, the number of days varies.

No you will still have the same queuing date however you will have to wait a little longer maxing it out up to 70 days.

Thank you for the info :)

To mieke19, I experienced the same situation that one document was missing so that I emailed and called NMC the day I found out this problem and they said I didn't send my document to them so that they didn't upload it. But the main point is that I post it all in one envelope, it's impossible that only one document was missing. I insisted that I have posted all by a tracking service and my agency also called them and gave them the tracking number. The next day, NMC sent an email to me to apologize that they found my document. So I suggest you to call them asap.

You are welcome, I hope they didn't lose your document.

Not yet, I was placed on the queue on Sep 6th, I hope I will get it soon.

Hello, guys.

So i just sent the last required barcoded form to NMC which was from PRC, and am expecting them to receive it this week. All my other doxuments were already labeled as received in the portal. However, my main concern is that, when I asked for a copy of the RLE and TOR my school sent to the council, I noticed that they failed to include my theoretical hours and my RLE record hours and the clinical hours in the barcoded form does not match.. I've conditioned myself about the possibility of resubmitting. However it still tortures me if the NMC will consider this discrepancy as a reason to deny me OSCE. I'm worried. :(

It is either you call or email NMC regarding your bar coded form ask them if your educational institution had accomplished all necessary inputs if they don't ask them if you could send a new one right away.

Hi,

So I sent them an email about it and as of the moment, it's been 5 days since I verified my candidate number to them. I'm still waiting for their response so that I can send them the required papers without so much delay in my assessment. Btw, I'm headed to Prescot if all goes well. I'm not sure whether how many of us are to be deployed then. I just hope this problem wouldn't pose too mech damage. í ½í¸¥

Hi! I'm currently complying the NMC forms and I have so many questions.

1. my reference form has no dry seal/stamp. (hospital has no dry seal)

question: does the letter need to be signed by the chief of hospital, chief nurse and the referees?

if they will not provide an explanation letter, will a coe which states that the hospital has no dry seal be accepted?

2. declaration of good health: the doctor has no stamp/ letter headed paper

question: will the personalized prescription pad be acceptable?

3. Can I submit the details of my employment gaps ahead of time? hehe.

@vanana NMC has been delayed lately at replying to emails it takes them at least 5 working days maybe because of the volume of registrants, kindly wait for their response

@Layla11 Reference form should be signed by any of your superior the one you stated are valid candidates in lieu of the stamping of both reference form and declaration of good health it is stated on the bar-coded forms to make a letter-headed paper to explain why they do not have a stamp. For the declaration of good health a trodat of a medical practitioner would be good as a stamp. I suggest that you make the letter-headed letter and just make them sign it. Lastly, regarding your gap include that in your email

Hi, guys.

So the NMC just regarded my problem and advised to send the correct papers (correct theory and clinical hours breakdown) as soon as possible, because it is highly possible to have my assessment put back to the start of the que once there are errors in the documents. I am also told that as of today, I am ready for assessment. So I guess, I'm gonna have to send another post to avoid delays.
