2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

Has anyone received their COS already?. Received mine today!.

Hi. When was yours applied for?

Has anyone received their COS already?. Received mine today!.

Hi. How long is the validity of COS?

Hi guys! Received my COS earlier today. To those who have already gone thru the visa processing, I would just like to ask if the NBI clearance should not be more than 3 months old just like with the NMC? TIA

Mine is valid for 3 months (feb 13-may 14 2018).

FOR VISA APPLICATION:

You will be directed to apply at VFS Makati in EcoPlaza. Bring minimal items and small bags.

REMEMBER TO BRING THE 5 CRITICAL DOCUMENTS:

1. IELTS

2. NBI Clearance and other Police Clearances

3. COS

4. Decision Letter

5. IOM Certificate (this must be valid at the time of application and they will ask for the original for them to scan it)

The rest you can photocopy in advance or have it photocopied there. ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE IN A4 PAPER

You can bring other supporting documents as well such as:

1. Marriage Certficate or Change of Name

2. TOR

3. Diplomas (Gradeschool to College)

4. RLE

5. PRC Certificate of Registration

6. Job Offer

7. Birth Certficate

8. Certificate of Employment

The agency must provide you the the UK Border Agency Form which must be attached as Appendix II

And of course the printed COMPLETED FORM FOR VISA APPLICATION and your current and old PASSPORTS!

No need for you to bring photo ID as your photograph and fingerprints will be taken there.

The agency has the option to avail of Priority Service (costs an extra 12K) so that the Visa will be processed in 5 days instead of the regular 15 days.

The agency can also avail the Premium lounge (additional 2K) for you to use the VIP lounge (couches, less lines, more personalized service, Krispy Kreme donut, and Del Monte drink)

Hi! Does the NBI clearance need to be not more than 3 months old? The one I currently have was issued Oct 2017, the same clearance I submitted to NMC last Dec. Can I still use it for my visa application or do I have to get a new one?

@PAH_nurse, are you already in UK? I'm bound for PAH too

@ reaqha,

I got a feedback from my assessor on 07/02/2018 requesting for more info. All documents were tagged as received on 14/02/2018. Waiting patiently for the DL

Hi. What's your agency and NHS? I'm still waiting for my COS. They told me that I can get it within this day

Not yet. I'm still waiting for my COS. What's your agency?

Hi! did you already receive your DL? It's been 10 days already and I'm still waiting for it.

Hi Layla,

My documents are shown already in my account last Feb 12. I emailed my officer but still there is no reply. I will wait until Monday. Did you got your DL already?

December 8, 2017 - Was on queue

January 30, 2018 - Needed Further Information (Employment Gap and Confirmation Letter from my university that I was 19 years old when I graduated)

February 1, 2018 - Uploaded Curriculum Vitae to explain the employment gap

February 5 - Delivered letter from my university(with seal) via DHL express (required to be sent by post/mail)

February 8 - received by the NMC Office (not yet reflected on the portal)

February 13 - Document received as reflected on my NMC portal

February 16 - Received my DL! Thank you God!

Received my DL after 49 working days(71 calendar days)

I thought the agony of waiting only applies with the decision letter, but also goes with COS. I keep on calling the partner agency of Omanfil in the UK asking for the releasing of my COS. Until now, they're still waiting for the confirmation from the Home Office about it.
