2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

World Registration

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

In my case, I uploaded my CV and i declared there the work gaps and reasons like seeking for employment in the employment history as advised by my agency

hi guys! how will i know if i have already entered the queue?

Hi. I would really appreciate your help for this matter. NMC received all the docs needed for my wife's application last Oct 17. We also submitted a letter in the verification section that we cannot provide a cert of good standing from HAAD (she worked as a nurse for 1 yr and 6 mos) since her license is expired as per advised by HAAD. We just uploaded the exit visa. After 64 calendar days, we haven't received any update from NMC. We called NMC and we found out that her application didn't enter the assessment queue due to that good standing document. We told the person from NMC that we didn't receive any notifications or email regarding the case and she just told us that it is our responsibility to ask for an update regarding the application. They advised us that we submit the needed doc as it is mandatory and write a letter explaining why it was overlooked so that it would just be re assessed instead of waiting for it to enter the assessment queue again (70 days of waiting again). Anyone who experienced the same thing? thank you so much.

You should've made it sure that all of the Bar coded forms listed in her NMC profile must have been marked as received before you assume that she was on qeue. There's nothing else you can do except follow the instructions given to you. And by the way, if you cannot provide for her RAV from HAAD, you should have sent a blank bar coded form along with copy of her license and letter of explanation, what you did was insufficient.

Really? I guess the ones that were given that waiver are those with other pulmonary cases but definitely not with PTB. They're really strict with regards to public health. However if that's the case that would be good for you. As for my COS, my trust will either provide me a new one (which costs 3000 pounds) or perhaps have some amendment to the concerned authority to somehow renew it and change deployment dates indicated.

Ps. Could you please send me your name in facebook so that we could keep posted just in case you will be able to find out what happened to the person who was able to go to the UK during his/her treatment?

Hello Ma'am. Sorry I was too busy that I wasn't able to open this account? I'll add you up on fb. How can I send you a message? Thanks!

Hi Sir. We downloaded the barcoded form, exit visa and an explanation letter. However, some of the applicants were able to obtain the certificate of good standing so they told us that it's mandatory. We sent what thwy asked from us and hopefully they would consider our application as re-assessment.

I'm also under IPAMS-CTN, but I haven't got my DL yet. Started to be on assessment queue last Nov. 20. Then on the 22nd, I received a call from CTN stating that they won't be able to provide CoS as of the moment and my application will be handed over to Camdridge NHS Trust- Addenbrooke's Hospital instead. Though I am really looking forward to the perks of travel nursing as previously negotiated. But the offer at Addenbrooke's is quite nice too, so I also accepted the offer rather than waiting for CTN to be fully operational which they are still uncertain as to when.

I see. I received a response on my email a while ago stating that they have added my declaration to my file for the attention of my officer. Then, I called and said that I'm back on queue. So, yeah another 30-60 days of waiting.

Hello!

It is when all of the barcoded forms will be reflected as Document Received/This document has been received. If you want to make sure, you can email or call them.

I ultimately withdrawn my application with CTN. I just felt betrayed that they waited for my DL to go through before they told me that they won't be sponsoring me anymore. Cambridge would have been nice as well but I can only choose from wards which I don't like so I did not pursue it. It's just so unfortunate that now that I have my DL and my UK journey turned bleak-ish.
