2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

i'm so jealous!! Everybody's getting their dl's while I'm still here waiting. Oh, it's my 73rd (working) day btw... T_T

Have you tried calling NMC? If not, then do. They must have at least a feedback for you by now.

Hi guys!. Got my DL earlier. It took 38 working days or 50 calendar days. Queue was October 25. 😀

Hi, how's your IOM sputum exam result?

After nine long weeks I got the result. No growth. Therefore, I got my IOM certificate.

Thanks for your reply. I had my sputum exam last Oct 18-20, until now there is no result yet. I met someone during my 3 days at IOM who already had the result. I'm anxious mine is not yet available.

I'm glad you had yours already.😊

I guess your 9th week is on 22 December if I am not mistaken. Don't worry it is just the same thing with me, there were two people who got their results a week before me. But see, I got my certificate on hand now. You can try to contact them with this number +63 917 503 3120. There are times that it is quite hard to reach them but they'll message you once the result is available.

I am so disappointed with my agency. They have said that my estimated departure would be end of February. Considering that I got my DL after 50 calendar days, it will be a longer wait than that. Also, I am given 3 areas to choose from. Not one is my specialization (ER/Dialysis) and not one do I like. I am thinking of backing-out. I am so confused.

Do you have your COS on hand now? If so, that would be quite hard for you to back out or apply to a different Trust because first of all, COS costs 3000 pounds, secondly once COS is already granted, the applicant will not be allowed to work in a different post nor Trust. However, if you do not have COS yet, maybe you could discuss your plans with your agency as early as possible.

I actually don't have it yet. They want me to confirm which area do I want so they can move forward. But I really do not like the choices they gave me.

anyone here bound for chelsea and westminster hospital through ASC? Do you have you COS already?

Hi,

I am bound for Chelsea & Westminster but I haven't received my DL yet.

Re: NMC Decision Letter

Please help! I have been on a waiting game for months.

Original queue date: 30 August

Feedback: 24 October- had to correct IELTS TRF, submit UK Police Certificate, a clearer NBI copy and explanation of my employment gap.

Resubmitted application: 29 November

I waited for about a week for my DL be released or at least a feedback after resubmission, but I did not get any. I then called the NMC and was told that I have to wait for 30-60 days (AGAIN)!!!

Did anybody experience the same? I just find it unfair and frustrating as I have to wait for months again.

Based on what I've been reading, DLs are usually released few days after resubmission.
