NMC Test Online

Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

Hello puccafied,

NMC has received three of the verification forms. I will be sending the declaration of good health anytime this week.

Im still unable to upload all my documents on my account. Still getting a secure connection failed message. I emailed NMC about this, waiting for the reply.

Hmm I never had that problem during my submission, although during the time that I was completing the online forms, there were some times when their page seemed to have problems loading the scanned paper, but it was always a temporary problem. The NMC will usually take about a week to reply to email inquiries, if you can you may want to call them and inform them that you already sent an email as well. It may get you an earlier resolution, since im sure that the NMC email will be swamped with inquiries from everyone undergoing the new process.

Hey Guys,

So far, from the information Ive gathered from, no one has been able to sit the OSCE yet. So there's not a lot of information available on it. The University website does offer a video of the general sequence that the exam will follow, but other information is supposed to only be made available after you've scheduled your exam.

Im at the full assessment stage right now as well (well waiting for the NMC response). My online papers were submitted about 3 weeks ago and my other papers (those that need to be sent by post) were received a week ago. According to the NMC suggested timeline for processing it will take them 6-9 weeks to go through the papers and approve or decline them, or in some cases request for additional papers.

Has anyone been through this stage yet? If so, how long did it take for NMC to give you the approval to take the OSCE?

Hi there puccafied! Im delighted ha I have met someone here who has the same situation as mine. Let me just share that my online NMC account before had a terrible problem for one month, thus, I was only able to submit my online forms last 6 March even though Ive passed the CBT last 28 January. Actually, the documents that must be sent directly to the NMC has arrived prior to me submitting my online forms. Anyway, today marks the first month since Ive submitted everything. And to my dismay, the NMC claims they havent received all the papers that were sent to them last February tho I really dont believe in them since my agency here in the PI insists that someone has already receieved it at the NMC office in London.

No updates or changes occurred in my account as per checking today and it's Easter Monday here so i cant do a follow up as well. Ive heard from this forum as well that OSCE will be administered starting this month so Im quite afraid that our invitations to take the OSCE may be delayed as well.

Fingers crossed.

Hi! I took my test on 31st March and passed yay! Thanks to all comments on here, was very helpful in prep for the test. How long does it take for the document assessment phase?

It's been a month since Ive submitted everything but I did not receive any update so far.

Hi Puccafied again. :) Probably your scanned documents are too big? Each document should be less than 10MB (not sure) in order for the NMC server to accommodate it. Have you tried reducing the size of your files?

Ugh. Well it does seem like we need to just take a deep breath and wait it all out (not the easiest thing to do i know). How did you inquire with NMC about whether they received the documents or not? Did you call in or just email. Ive actually sent an email to them simply inquiring about whether they will confirm the full receipt of the documents or not, but so far no reply and Im pretty much just waiting to give them a call (I'll probably call them when I go over the 3 week waiting mark).

Well its not like they can deny receiving the documents, Im pretty sure most of us sent the documents with tracking information.

I do hope your papers get approved soon!

Hey guys,

So i just went ahead and did some checking up on the OSCE (honestly with all the waiting there's nothing better to do). And i came across a page from the University that I hadn't seen the last time i decided to do some research on OSCE (about a month ago).

Its pretty general information, but in my opinion may have some useful details for us who want to get the feel for the OSCE and try to do some advance reading.

Hi! :)

I guess ive tried all means of communication to verify if they received everything like im really bugging them. I call them almost everyday, yes almost everyday without fail just for me to make sure they dont lose my precious papers. Actually, the call center, at some point doesnt serve its purpose because of all of their inconsistencies. Tried and tested. The email i would say is the most accurate confirmation of almost anything but replies from this channel is comparable to a snail mail. Youll just get frustrated. My agency assured me that the NMC received all of my paper docs last week of Feb. I still have to call them again tomorrow since today is a bank holiday in there (Easter Monday). And oh, dont get surprised if the call center agent insists that they didnt receive anything, thats normal because they are like clueless.

I suggest you buy Skype credits for you to save money on international calls (everyday).

Cheers.

Well this sounds like its going to be fun.

Its probably my biggest fear right now, that any one of my papers may get lost in some way.

Ill go ahead and do that.

Im not trying to scare you but that really happens according to some testimonies here and that is the main reason why Im really asking them if all of my papers are with them already. Most of the papers they ask are originals which are hard to produce instantly. I dont want to waste time just like you.

Well you know what they say, "Better safe than sorry." Exactly, it would be so frustrating to have to go through getting the necessary documents again because some were lost. So it does seem that its better I call them and follow up ASAP rather than wait a few more weeks, as well as call up my agency to have them check over at NMC as well.

Thats right. Replacement documents could cause more delays for another 3 to 4 weeks and who else here likes waiting? Haha! Anyway, if you dont mind me asking, what is your agency here? We are probably on the same hospital or so! Hehe
