Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

Hello guys!

Any updates regarding COS release issues?

I received my DL March 1, 2017 and until now I am still waiting for my certificate of sponsorship :( My agency told me that they were able to submit my application before the deadline this month (March 5) but I am worried why until now I still do not have my COS :( :( :(

Hi mango! that's quite strange because if they submitted it before the deadline, you should've received it by now. I got my CoS on the 15th which was only 2 days after it was approved. Try calling your employer directly, the one who sent you the job offer letter I'm sure they can help you.

Got my DL this morning!everyone in this forum has been very helpful! thank you!

Congratulations Chammm!!! May I know your timeline please... :D

I still have not received my CoS either. And no news from my agency either.

Hi mango1888,

Ive been waiting for my COS for weeks now, i get tired of bothering my agency as I dont want them to get annoyed, hahahaha. My agent actually resigned from her post in the agency and now im ocnsidering to get another employer. As what ive heard, other agencies usually give COS faster among others. Like ipams.

I've been toying with the idea of going to a different agency too. But in actuality the application for and release of the CoS is beyond our agency's control. If it were all up to them they'd want to send us on our way asap because that's how they make their money; from every successful applicant.

At this point I don't think switching employers wil help as it's looking like all trusts are experiencing delays in release of the certificates. Unless you can find an employer who has obtained an approved certificate in advance and are willing to assign one to you. I was told they are able to do that if the trust wanted to go that route. Some don't because of certain contingencies that further delay the nurse from leaving the country (scarring on CXR) and CoS' come with an expiration date.

I thought of that too, after having been on this thread im relieved that Im not the only one having issues with COS.

What makes me feel more frustrated is the fact that my agent from day 1 resigned from her post. And i already hand in my resignation to my current employer, it will take effect next month. And i fear of being unemployed, stuffs like that.

But im keeping my patience, #tiwalalang

That's alright. I'm sure someone equally as diligent is taking care of your documents. And if there are further delays you can ask your present employer to extend your stay. But i do hope there'd be no need for that.

One thing is for sure, if anything else the whole NMC registration process is a test of patience. :D

Hi! May i know under what agency you belong?

hey I kinda wanna ask those who got their DL's already, did any of your transcripts of training highlight ur geriatric practice? If not, were you required to submit a document that highlighted your geriatric training/practice?

Yes, my school submitted not just the barcoded nmc forms but also the transcript, modules, and other records of each nursing practice (including the geriatric training).
