Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

Whew! That would be a relief then. I tried uplaoding mine for like 50 times already. I'm really worried, I'll be calling them tomorrow then. Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my queries. By the way regarding on the COS, will my employer be giving me a copy of it? I don't have an agency.

Hi, as you said you dont have an agency, are you saying you are directly hired as well?

How long does it take for the Certificate of Sponsorship to be released?

Thank you!

Are you under an agency?

Hi guys. After 68 days, I already received my Decision Letter. For those who are still waiting, be patient!

Good Luck to all of us!!!

Can you please let us know why it took 68 days? Did you resubmit any documents?

Thanks

Hello, No! My friend waited for his DL for 69 days while my other friend is still waiting, it's been 83 days since she was placed on the assessment queue.

hi fellow nurses!

I would like to thank those people who helped me from this forum. Your tips were very helpful. I just passed the CBT yesterday and I couldn't contain my happiness until now. To be honest, i find the test quite difficult as some of the questions are not familiar to me at all (well probably because i never had any hospital experience on my entire nursing career). I agree with some that the first part of the test will give you an easy feeling but it gets tricky and hard as you go on with the questions. Royal Marsden is very helpful coz some questions, which are about 7-8, were exactly from the book. I had about 4 items of drug calculation which were very easy. Medicines management esp controlled drugs, NEWS, wound care, walking devices for elderly, drugs like digoxin (study the indications, side effects and drug interactions), infection control, MRSA, etc. For the situational questions, just apply the code and you will be good.

I also found very helpful videos on youtube. Just type in NMC ToC CBT pointers and it contains videos about almost everything you have to know for CBT. The videos are especially for those who are tired and lazy to read. ;)

Now I will be proceeding to the assessment stage which is the part that I hate the most because of all the papers and documents (just thinking about it makes me exhausted and stressed) so goodluck to me! :'O

Hi! Any tips for the writing part of the IELTS? :-) I keep getting a 6.5 and im struggling

thanks!!

Hi everyone! I called NMC this morning to follow up on my docs and the lady told me it will take about 2-3 weeks for it to appear in the portal but just a few hours after that call, my documents have finally reflected on my portal after 14 working days of waiting. Mailed my documents on Sept. 23 and received in London Sept. 26. (I was a bit worried since my PRC bar coded form only took about 7 days including weekends to appear in my portal).

Does this mean I have already joined the assessment queue? Will it be okay if I give them a call again to confirm this?

They say that once every documents were scanned and appeared in your portal, then you are already in the queue. What did you asked from the NMC regarding your other documents? I am also a bit worried because all of my documents were mailed 30th September and still, nothing is reflected in my portal.

I just called and told them my situation, when I mailed the documents, when the documents were received in London, etc. She pulled up my account and told me that they only have the PRC document scanned. This took just about 7 days (mailed on sept. 13, received sept. 15 and reflected on my portal sept. 22).The person I spoke with informed me sometimes it does take about 2-3 weeks for it to show in the portal. About an hour and a half after that phone call, I was so happy to see all the documents tagged as received in my NMC account.

Does the date today was the date indicated that your documents were received?

Hi Klare and phurple, we are in the same situation. All of my documents were submitted to the NMC september 26 and 29. However, nothing appeared on my portal. I will wait until Tuesday before I call them. Hopefully, everything is okay. :)

Hi Everyone! I'm so glad I found an active discussion board related to the NMC process. I am an American Nurse from North Carolina and I started the process for traveling nursing to the UK in June of this year. I'm working with Continental TravelNurse.

My Story So Far: I took my CBT on Sept. 23rd and was informed through Pearson VUE that I had passed but never received an email from NMC. For anyone curious, you are suppose to receive an email 24-48 hours after the test and you can't move on in the process until then. After one week I sent a email about my situation to NMC. After two weeks, I called since I hadn't received an answer from the email and still hadn't received verification about the test. Once I finally got in touch with someone with the Overseas division, it only took 10 minutes before I received my email. So now I am currently working on the full application.

Questions: For anyone who has already made it to this part of the process or received there decision letter:

***With regards to the worksheet for the training institution:

1.When it asks for the breakdown of the clinical hours on the 2nd page - is this only for the actual clinical hours or the theoretical hours and the clinical hours combined?

*** With regards to the worksheet for the employer references:

1. I've worked on the same unit since becoming a nurse - should I still include 2 references and have my manager and assistant manager fill them out or just only do one?

2. We do not have an official stamp for my hospital - what kind of letter did you include stating as such?

If there are any other weird requirements or odd reasons more information was required from NMC that you know please...please... please let me know.

Thank you, Chelsea
