  1. Yup.. The current overseas booklet from the nmc website only stated the number needed for clinical practice which is 500 hours. Do u know how many hours is required for theoretical? :-) thank you!
  2. Does anyone know the required clinical and theoretical hours to be able to register? thanks! :-)
  3. Hi @nansspnosa :-) im wondering the same thing. All i know is accdg to the current 'Registering as a nurse or midwife in the UK for applicants trained outside the EU and EEA' pdf/booklet on page 9 of 22 under the Adult (general) nursing paragraph, it says "The programme should be three years in length (or equivalent) and contain a minimumof 500 hours of clinical practice which must be evidenced by a transcript of trainingfrom the applicant's higher education institution. The programme must have included theoretical and practical instruction in: general and specialist medicine, general and specialist surgery, childcare and pediatrics, maternity (obstetric) care, mental health and psychiatry, care of the elderly, community/primary care nursing." But the thing is it doesnt say anything about the required hours for theoretical 3 as compared to the previous version of the booklet which stated the needed number of theor hours: "The duration of the programme must be a minimum of 4,600 hours. At least half ofthe programme (2,300 hours) must be in clinical or practical training and at leastone third (or 1,533 hours) must be theoretical training. The programme must have included theoretical and practical instruction in..." Im not sure as well lol Help..anyone? xD :-)
  4. In my country: 1. We get paid 302 pesos a day, so that's about 6,040 pesos a month for a 5x/wk job ($6-7/day, $137/month). 2. There are no residents in the hospital where i work. 3. Our chief nurse gives us 12-18 hour shifts at least 3 times a week. 4. Some people/patients don't see us nurses as professionals. They feel that doctors are the only health care providers who could help them and provide proper health treatment. Oh well XD
  5. Never mind guys. I got a 7 in writing just last month. Thank you. Really. To anyone out there, thank you.
  6. @Esme12 *hugs back*
  7. Oh, I guess I better have my post deleted. Thank you for the heads up! :-)
  8. All I heard were positive feedbacks. One told me that the people at health carousel were very dedicated in helping their candidates. Others said that the agency was persistent, which was good, to get all the requirements done and that the process was fast and concise. These however r only according to the few people I know who have experienced working with the agency :-)
  9. TRICK OR TR...eeaat.... Oops sorry wrong floor.
  10. (1) Dosage range __ to __ mg per DAY: 4-8mg/kg/day for a 4.5kg infant (4mg/kg) x 4.5kg = 18mg (8mg/kg) x 4.5kg = 36mg = range per day 18mg to 36mg (2) Dosage range __ to __ mg per DOSE: the order was 4-8mg/kg/day in two divided doses so you just have to divide 18 and 36 by two 18mg / 2 = 9mg 36mg / 2 = 18mg = range per dose 9mg to 18mg (3) Minimum dose at __ ml: = (required amount/stock on hand) x quantity or form of the drug = (9mg/30mg) x 5ml = 0.3 x 5ml = 1.5ml (4) Maximum dose at __ ml: = same formula as number three = (18mg/30mg) x 5ml = 0.6 x 5ml = 3ml if u don't understand a step or something, just ask away :-)

  12. In my opinionI think u should find a review center which provides refresher courses and has an early start of its nle review classes that will allow you to have more preparation time for the exam. Begin reading updated nursing books as early as now. Take the test only when you feel that youre ready. If you wouldnt take the nle..hmm i honestly don't know..im not sure if your chances of landing a nursing job would be slim. Maybe try researchingthe job requirements/qualifications of the country you want to work in? :-)
  13. Passportusa has two programs you see, Achieve and Aspire. The achieve program is mainly for candidates who had already passed the nclex while the other program is forcandidates who have yet to take the test. In addition the Aspire program is exclusively for the nurses who graduated between 2014-2016 :-)
  14. The most popular agencies in the ph are Omanfil and IPAMS..in my opinion that is. Most of the nurses I have worked with who r now ukrn's were under those agencies. Also Razvannus has a point..it's a matter of how fast you work on the requirements and how well u do on the series of exams :-)
