I am a registered nurse in the Philippines and now working as an Intensive Care Unit Nurse here in Saudi Arabia for almost two years.
I am planning to move my nursing career further in Ireland. I have paid the €350 assessment fee with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and the accounts department already provided me with a pin and advised me to wait for the delivery of my application pack.
The assessment fee was processed since April 17, 2015. I just wonder about how long it would take me to receive the application pack here in Saudi Arabia.
I hope that someone could help me. I'm so excited to process my application for Registration with NMBI.
I checked my status again today and it's still on "Further Information required". They needed an official email address about 2 weeks ago and I sent it immediately but status hasnt been changed. And I didnt received any further email from them anymore.
Wait further, it may take up to 15 working days for an update. This is their timeline unfortunately. I also noticed a backlog because of increasing number of applicants.
@stellarinurse16, we have the same case, it took a looooooong time for them to update from Further Info Required to assessment. I doubt that it would be updated, had I not sent a mass email to their reps.

What happens during assessment? Do they request for more information and stuff? Or maybe that was settled during the further info phase.
I also received an email for e-vetting, that's for Garda application, right? Like the work permit in Ireland? Can you enlighten me guys? hehe.
I am just waiting for the 3rd of my status then will start sending them email. Cause I think based on the other docs submitted to them it takes 3 weeks to update on our accounts.
@ stellarinurse16. Yes, that's right. That's basically their time-frame. 15 working days or three weeks. Call/email them if they didn't update your status after that time-frame.
I would like to know your experiences regarding the transition of assessment to decision pending. Is there anyone here who experienced longer time in assessment? Base from what i noticed, most of the time it will only take around 4 weeks from assessment to decision pending. I tried to call nmbi but they told me assessment is usually up to 90 days... its been almost 6 weeks now when my account was updated to assessment...

Belle, during the assessment stage, the education department will look into your application if their curriculum is suited to what you had in your country. Basically they will just decide if you still need to undergo Adaptation or not! So there will be no more further information required since that is settled during the 'Review' stage!

Right now, NMBI is so inundated with applicants so it takes a while for them to review all application! Mine took 4 weeks but that was a month ago, my friend just had her Decision pending status and it took her 5 weeks!. I can see other people have it for 5 - 6 weeks these days.
But still on the positive note, you are done. You are just waiting for your decision this time so that eliminates a great degree of worry there!

So, I'm (dreading? lols) anticipating at least 5 weeks of waiting for the assessment status to change to decision pending. Did your piglet grow up and turned to lechon already? Just kidding! If I planted a tree at the start of my NMBI application, it would have pretty grown much by now. :))

Hahaha I didn't buy piglets. I hope I did haha. I'm hoping and praying that your decision letter will come soon, even earlier. The viber group seems quiet these days probably because everyone has their DL's already

Wowowow! Congratulations guys! My DL is still lost somewhere in Pluto, hopefully it gets delivered by a handsome alien. Hahaha. So yeah, I'll still be hanging around here every now and then to ask some queries. You guys should already meet here in the Philippines, then in Ireland too.
