Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I took my test on 1/27....I read on here some people are getting their results back in 12 days...well that's today. Does anyone who took their test that day have theirs back? How about those of you that took it just before then...are your results back yet?

I was fine this morning until I looked out my window and saw the mailbox. Then it hit me. Now I'm a NERVOUS NERVOUS NERVOUS wreck!!

Alrighty...hmmm. Well I'll be waiting on the mail truck.

To study i used the NLN LPN/LVN Pre-Entrance study guide. I only had 5 days to look at it.. may help you alot more. First three days, I just scanned the review sections and then took practice test. The studied up on any areas i made mistakes on. The 4th and 5th days i took the complete practice tests and looked up my mistakes. I timed myself on all sections in order to get a feel for the time-crunch.

The Science exam asked several genetics questions (know your peapods) as well as some chem questions.. but mostly cellular biology.

For math know your proportions and planer-geometry.. oh and decimal/fractions and thier conversions

For Verbal... dont let the reading passages put you to sleep ;)

Really hope it helps

Sorry to be so vague.. best i can recollect.

NLN LPN/LVN Pre-Entrance guide should be available in the bookstore of the school where you signed up for the test.. or in the academic section of any big chain bookstore. It may also be available from tht NLN itself.

I need to take my entrance exam again and I'm indesperate need of a math tutor............HELP:cry:

To prepare for the NLN i bought a book at barnes and noble...Its called the Nursing School Entrance Exam: Your Guide to Passing the Test By learning express. the cover is white and blue-green. It has a great math section.

Hi!!! I have been reading this post for quite a while, and I am taking my NLN tomorrow. MY school has about 30 applicants for nursint this quarther,a nd only 12 get in. I have the following core classes and grades.

Anatomy and physiology: A

Medical Terminology: A

SCT 100: B

Math: B

English: Hoping for a B, still taking

Psychology: Pretty sure I will get an A, also still taking.

I am soooo nervous, and really hope I get in. I have been studying the science part like crazy!! Does any one have any suggestions on the NLN?

Please pray for me, and Congratulations on everyone who has already gotten into the nursing program. How long does it take your scores to get back?

take your time and dont rush but at the same time make sure you allow yourself enough time to finish each section. If you are having a hard time on something try not to spend a chunk of your time on it....just choose an answer and write down the number so you can go back to it if you have time. Dont stress too much and good luck!

30? That's not many at all!!! We have 60 spots for over 300 applicants!

Hoping you did great on the test!!!! Keep us posted!

I took my NLN pre entrance exam on Saturday 12/1 when should i expect my results

I took my NLN pre entrance exam on Saturday 12/1 when should i expect my results

My results came in 17 days...they had told me two weeks, but it took a few more days and those few more days were torturous!!! Good luck. I took mine on November 28 so I'm guessing you have your results by now..how'd you do?

I got an overall score of 56, they were looking for a 60, so I guess I will be taking them again :(

Mash, Does that mean your composite percentile score was a 56? Seems to me that everyone that I read about on here has a score that's in the 90's...unreal to me to score that high. The first time I took it I had a 71...anyway, If it's the composite percentile score...I got an 80 and my composite was a 118...we have to have above a 50 in each subject in order to apply in my state. I can't take it again for 6 months and I'm going through the application process now...I just hope it's goos enough...I'm trying to stay possitive...my GPA is 3.85... and all my science classes are A's....

I took the NLN exam on 12/11/07 and got the results back by 12/17/07 - wow that was quick. I was nervous taking the test (because the study guide only had 1% of similar questions). I was nervous waiting. Now I am anxious to see what the school will do in the evaluation of my scores. I hope I got in - I got an overall composite score of 99, with a 93 on Verbal, 98 on Math and 99 on Science. I am only going to a community school with between 60 & 100 applicants per semester and I hear 40% to 50% get in per semester.
