NLN Results....

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I took my test on 1/27....I read on here some people are getting their results back in 12 days...well that's today. Does anyone who took their test that day have theirs back? How about those of you that took it just before then...are your results back yet?

I was fine this morning until I looked out my window and saw the mailbox. Then it hit me. Now I'm a NERVOUS NERVOUS NERVOUS wreck!!

Alrighty...hmmm. Well I'll be waiting on the mail truck.

Hey guys (well, mostly gals). I took the NLN on 3/3 @ hunter and just got my scores in the mail today. I've been obsessively stalking my mailman for the last 3 weeks. So for all of you still waiting, yes it will come, maybe not as fast as one might wish but it will come.

Ok, so I made a couple of stupid mistakes on the exam - knew right after the exam but I still managed to wrangle a decent score - 153 composite, raw 51/37/53, 99% across the board. Good luck everyone!

*JAW DROPPED* Oh goodness, I'm soooo scared. I take my test tomorrow morning @ 8am. Good Lawd, I don't think I'm gonna even make it into the 100's for my composite score. WOW! I have been doing the practice exams and been getting 79 outta the 160 wrong. That is not good. *sigh* guess I'm gonna go and try and take test 1 again. I'm doing something wrong. Those vocab words are gonna kill me. Any tricks to determine what the words mean? Because umm it is a word I've never heard of and then one of the choices is another word I've never heard of. I'm like what the heck? I thought maybe I could see what one made more sense. Guess i should've picked up the dictionary more when I was younger. *sigh*. Some of the science, i've never seen in my life. I'll just have to keep trying. Wish me luck...I'll be checking back here today, gonna try and study some stuff. Have my calculation book from math, but so far it don't seem to matter...

I'm very happy for all of you and jealous..LOL I feel like I don't know anything about the Nursing program anymore..LOL. This sucks! I haven't even applied yet, want to get the A&P II out the way, that's a extra 10 points for our application. Well keep your fingers crossed and toes...Thanks for all the inside help. You all RoCK!

Wow Congrats, thats a smoking score!!!

What schools did you apply too? I saw NYC in your name, are you applying to any schools in new york?

Heya santacruz2nyc! Im guessing you're from CA and move to NYC???

Congratulations on the fantastic score! Its definately bittersweet seeing your score because Im gagging with envy and at the same time happy for you!

Applying to hunter???? Welcome to our merry bunch! :D Hope well be seeing mnore of you here!

Hey TnKzMom! Sending all my good vibes for your exam!

Good luck!!!!

Thanks mystiqx. I've only applied to the BSN program at Hunter/CUNY. Barring the improbable cataclysm of not passing microbiology, I should be fine getting into the program (fingers-crossed). Are you applying to Hunter as well?

Teresa, the only advice I can give you is to relax. You'll stress out enough waiting for your results, there's no need adding to your aggravation. At this point it might not be the best strategy to concentrate your engery on the verbal section. If anything it might best to focus your last minute studying on the math and science. The math is basic, just a lot of arithmetic one must do quickly. As for the science section re-read the introduction information given in Mcdonald's book - it should help you. And most important of all have confidence in yourself and relax! Good luck.

Yup, I grew up in California and moved to nyc about 7 years ago. Did you get your results back yet Caeiluna?

Hey there, no I didn't apply to Hunter, I applied to Philips Beth Israel's ADN program. Im beginning to lose hope that I will be apcepted to be honest with you. oh well. :o

This seems to be the year of Hunter, i can hardly find anyone else on the forums who applied to Beth Israel epcept for one.

Heya santacruz! yup yup! I got a 151, posted it before. Not so confident about getting in the program though... my GPA is only 3.4. There are a couple of hunter hopefuls here! :) Me, trin, and nessa... (and the many lurkers out there! HALLOW guys!)

Glad you could join us!

LOL! Great score but I bet you kind of kicked yourself like I did for not getting a better score - I have a feeling you're as nuts as I am. I think you'll be fine. Last year's average gpa was 3.48 and I can pretty much guess that the median NLN composite was south of 151 by at least 15 points (but of course it's just my guess). Definitely true about the lurkers - I was one of them!

Mystiqx, try not to be too down on yourself. Until you get that letter you're still in the running and even if you don't get in that doesn't mean a nursing program is not in your future.

Hey caeiluna, no phone call yet, im beginning to get very discouraged, i called them again this week and got the same response. I keep telling myself I did everything I could and i just need some patience :o

To add to my worry, Im going to Barcelona Spain at the end of May and it would really suck if they decided to call me then for an interview when i am gone, that would just be my luck.

Wow. Is this the normal processing time that they have?!? Hopefully they call you before your vaca. If not, you could always talk to your network provider about their roaming/triband service so you can take calls overseas.

Wishing the best for you M. Keep us posted! :)
