Hi everyone! I'm currently in the process of applying to NJCU's accelerated nursing program. Any current students or alumni have advice?

Anyone else out there applying to NJCU? Or any other accelerated programs in the NY/NJ area?

Hi lh193, if you don't mind sharing-what were your HESI A2 scores like, GPS, etc. that got you accepted?

Also, mw1023, did you get a response regarding grade entry? I was told prerequisites only.

So I emailed the program assistant and she confirmed that you only have to enter the prerequisites. I submitted my application but now it says that's my transcripts are being verified. Does anyone else's submitted application say that too? Thanks for all this helpful information!!

I just took the HESI this past Monday and I got a 90!

Math - 100

Grammar - 92

Reading Comprehension - 94

Biology - 84

Anatomy & Physiology - 80

Vocabulary - 92

If anyone has any questions about the test I'll be happy to answer! The test was very manageable and I only studied from the Elsevier review book. I would recommend going through the sections in the book that is on the test (NOT PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY). Do the questions at the end of the section. I got a 77 on the posttest LOL and I didn't really study after taking the posttest which tells you the test is very manageable. It's really important to be calm and not freak out. You will be taking that test for awhile so I tried alternating the subjects from science to vocab to science again to reading comprehension just for variation. But that's just me.

Hi guys! So glad I found this thread! I'm applying for the Wall Campus. I'm so nervous, sending over my application right now. Can I know what everyone's stats are? My cumulative GPA is 3.4, pre-req GPA is 4.0, and I just took the HESI and passed with a 94! I've also been a medical assistant for 6 years at a local pediatric clinic. Hopefully these are all good enough for me to get in!

I also asked the program assistant about this issue too and she said it's fine and that the application can be viewed and is considered active for the admission process and by the time they make their decision, your transcript verification will be complete. So don't worry basically :)

my transcripts were received by nursingcas last week. how long has it taken you guys to see it switched from saying received to verifying? i know we have some time before the deadline for Jersey City but I obviously don't want to be waiting till the last minute!! thanks guys!
