Hi! Just thought I would start a new thread for NJCU, 2014 applicants! - Any thoughts/concerns regarding the application process or help from alumni is greatly appreciated! I'm applying to the Wall cohort for this May. :up:

I'm actually from the Middlesex County area but I'm going to Wall cohort. I'm quite scared of the commute to be honest...

I think you should be okay for the Wall Cohort ... the traffic is usually not bad going that way down Route 18 if you would take that route. I'm worried about Jersey City because they closed the Pulaski so everyone keeps telling me there is going to be terrible traffic :-( I guess I'll manage!

Hi Rotko15! Thanks for creating the facebook group for JC applicants! For some reason, I can't find it on facebook and when I click on the link above I get a pop-up to compose a message. Is there any other way I can look for the group?

I think that link is the correct one, I posted the wrong one before. I think you could also search "NJCU ABSN 2014-2015 Jersey City" and click find all groups with that name and it should come up. Let me know if neither of these options work and I'll try something else!

I haven't applied to FAFSA yet...just thought to see what everyone else is doing considering we're starting in a little over 7 weeks!!! I'm going to sit with my hubby tonight and see what our best options are (that's his department...lol)

Just got my letter in today! :)

Couldn't be happier and more freaked out either!

I still don't know if I will accept it or not, or opt for a 2 year program closer to home.

I'm breaking one of the cardinal rules of nursing school and getting married sometime this year too, so I'm completely unsure how I will be able to manage both, (not so much the planning but the whole new lifestyle thing, arg)

i wish i had more information regarding the programs and hours and everything, i keep hearing different things!

its not much of a packet, just the email + deposit form + uniform papers, thats all

all the other forms they mentioned are on the website and have to be done by the time clinicals start, whenever that is
