NJCU ABSN 2014!

Hi! Just thought I would start a new thread for NJCU, 2014 applicants! - Any thoughts/concerns regarding the application process or help from alumni is greatly appreciated! I'm applying to the Wall cohort for this May. :up:

BTW, i think it's a good sign for NJCU applicants, that a lot of people from this group got in!

Hi guys, my congratulations to those who were accepted!

On a diff note, after verification by nursingcas, did njcu itself emailed you (or do you have to call them?) that they received your app?

I only got the email from nursingcas that my app was verified but I just want to make sure they sent it to njcu and that njcu received it. Thanks!

Hi Silverbullet1...as for me, I did not call NJCU and the school did not email me to confirm they received my application. I guess I just assumed that it would automatically be sent over after it was verified. But that's just me...not sure about everyone else's experience.

What are your next steps?

For JC the rep said end of March so I'm assuming an email dated the 31st at the latest

Silverbullet1 if your application was 'verified' before the deadline that means NJCU is able to access your application electronically. The only email I received was a message about my pre reqs, but the program assistant was able to clear that up.

Undergrad GPA: 3.6

Pre req GPA: 4.0

HESI: 93

Hello everyone!!

I have been been following this thread since the beginning of the year!! I have been checking everyone's comments but have never replied because I honestly feel very nervous about this application process!! My nerves are driving me crazy!! Congratulations to all the students that ere accepted to the wall cohort!! I can only imagine how happy you must feel!! I am a JC applicant and I'm eager to know already!! For the ones who were accepted, would you guys please share your gpa and hesi score with us?? Just curious to see what they're looking for.. I don't have the best gpa or the best hesi score but I have a lot of medical experience and completed my prerequisite courses with good grades.. If you don't mind sharing I would greatly appreciate it !! Thank you so much and best of luck to the ones who were already accepted and the ones still waiting!! :-/

I was just accepted into the Wall Cohort and my personal opinion is that the hesi and GPA matter a lot but its NOT everything. I would think everyone applying to the program have around the same hesi and gpa. I personally feel like the rec letters and the personal response are huge. That to me is how the committee dinstinguishes one from another. Again, this is my personal opinion. Good luck to you all!!!

Also, has anyone from the wall cohort received the hard copy in the mail?
