Hi! Just thought I would start a new thread for NJCU, 2014 applicants! - Any thoughts/concerns regarding the application process or help from alumni is greatly appreciated! I'm applying to the Wall cohort for this May.
Crazyfrog- my credentials were almost the same as yours. (Minus my HESI was a 91).
Still haven't heard a response good or bad -- I emailed the program assistant this morning and she has yet to respond to me. They're probably going crazy over there looking through JC applicants, as well.
At this point I just want SOME sort of response. It's eating at me!
No e-mail other than the acceptance, but this paragraph was included in the letter.
"If you plan on applying for financial aid, applications can be obtained by calling the Financial Aid Office at #, or you may apply online at #. Please review the enclosed letter for additional information."
Hello,I also received an email to apply for the scholarship... Did everyone get this email?? I hope it's a good sign.. Thank you to everyone who responded to my previous post!!
a good sign hopefully for all of us. i did, i dont know how many others did.

Hi, I wish I could help you and knew exactly why I was admitted. I think it's numbers-driven for some. In my case, just the HESI results (97) because my GPA's only just over 3.0, I've had absolutely no medical background, and my essay was rather confusing and irrelevant. Besides, I submitted at the last minute and the application wasn't verified until 3/11, maybe 3 days before the decision. I don't think the admissions had the time to read the essay and look at the courses I took, and so on, but maybe it did. This might not be the case for other candidates, however. There was someone last year who, with a gpa below 2.5 and 90 on Hesi, was accepted. Good luck to you, all.
